Re: new year

So I will update my thread shortly - have a few pics to put in there.

But.....put in a freeway flyer last year - couldn't get it to stop leaking. I think it was a very tired case....just seemed to seep from the pores almost, lol!

So I pulled that out last month and put in a rebuilt freeway flyer with a super-diff, hardened side plate and some internal goodies. It should go with my new motor ('nother story) quite weil.

Put it in, had the passenger side side gear give me a little problem, but I thought it would be OK. NOT.

I got it all together to drive on a cruise on the 22nd. Our club met with the Sheriff Dept and donated coats to the needy and then were going to decorate the cars with Christmas lights and cruise around town, bringing lights to those that have none. Well, I made it about 10 miles and went around a corner with the loud thunks going on. So, today it was tear it apart and see what all the noise is.

Motor is out. Trans is out. Axle out - now working on the side gear and then get to see what is going on in there.

PS - the rest of my car club - along with some other car clubs did the night light cruise and really had a good time - so it was still a success - I was home cursing Vivian, LOL!

d3ghia. I know what you mean about a leaky trans. People have asked me for years "does your Harley leak oil ha ha" I always answered NO but my f*ckin VW leaks from one end to the other. So this May when I fried a piston I took it to a shop and got a new 1700 top end. All new seals in the trans and a new stearing box. Finally a garage thats not cardboard from one end to the other.:dancing:

I alway wait until the 7th to start my new year, then 18 years ago I started the new year on the 2nd, hard to believe it's been 18 years since my kidney transplant, was at the doctor Wednesday and everything is great

I have been doing a lot of walking since we got the dog, I was averaging about 4 miles a week, since this past Saturday I have walked 17 miles, and I still have today, now if only I could get him to stop biting my the bottoms of my pants when we cross streets I wouldn't hafta pick him up, I put him on my shoulder to keep from hurting my back, the other day a guy told me I had an unusual parrot,
Something else I did back in October is giving up pain pills, I now know what it's like to hurt every day, but I'm gonna make up for it by exercising, I gained 18 lbs since giving them up, I only wish I could get all the muscle I lost back, half of it would do
Oh yeah, I had cataract surgery in December, I don't need glasses except to read

Hope everyone has a great new year, I know I will
