Re: What Happened

Welcome back

I recently started redoing the body work on my Volksrod, but I really don't like doing that kind of thing, I'm more or a get my hands greasy and machinist kind a guy, now my time is training a new puppy, he's about 15 weeks old and requires constant attention, my wife got him for me because I was starting to spend more time on the couch than doing anything constructive, hopefully in the next 2 or 3 months I'll have more time to spend getting my Volksrod back into shape and put some shiny paint on it, only time will tell

Re: What Happened

I "finished" mine, took it on some short trips and fled my country so I had to leave her where I parked her :'(... I'll post some pics of that trip I took to the beach like I said I would, but never got around to it.

PS: I want to build another rod, or anything really, just wanna get my hands dirty but I don't have the money for anything

Well, the Single Cab is running well after fuel and ignition problems. My buddy with the auto restoration business is going to coach me on the body work still to go, and I have new rocker panels and have begun repairing the driver side rear corner. And then, PAINT! Shiny two-shades of blue paint. The bed, gates and nose are already (mostly) done.
Um, please, no holding of breath to witness the final results.:grin:

Still here. Still too many unfinished projects. More time taken up with the horse rescue and trying to fix up the old family ranch for sale. Average working day from 4:00 AM to about 8:00 PM with intermittent stops at the office to check in here.

Still around as well. Was having fun driving Frankie, but it's time for some changes. She will be a little more volksrod now than she used to be. Just waiting on some parts to come together. Will be sure to post when the work gets going!

Well... Here's what Guss is up to:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...710_110725.jpg

He started working at a local family owned restaurant in Jan or Feb and saved up enough money to buy his first truck on his own. It's a '79 F100, Ranger Lariat. One owner, fully loaded, 351, auto, a/c, p/s, factory carpet, cloth seat, and upholstered door panels. $950... And we drove it home!!!!
