Hey John,
I used a 49 ford hood and removed the skin and used the inner structure from the vw hood. I don't think I took many photos I put my head down and hammered away. I removed about 5-6 inches from the back of it the curve is almost perfect! the next one Im going to do is a 50-51 no emblem to remove. Im watching for update on yours!!! I love that car.

Well thanks for the passion... guess I should keep the updates coming, I have the billet proof show this weekend and then good guys about 4 weeks later. Many more changes to come "big ones"

I've been watching your build closely and I'm loving it.
I have plans of building a mini 57' nomad with a T3 and your hood work gives me even more ideas for it. I also intend to reshape the tail light are using the actual sheet metal from the 57' itself. The rearward lines leading to the tail lights are just begging to be pulled up higher.
Anyways, keep the updates and pics coming...you give me great inspiration for my future build.

Well the dash is in and now for the electrical work so far I made the speedo work and now on to the gas, temp, and fuel gauge followed by the dash trim all for the vintage meet next week.

Hey thanks guys...It's alive and now has wipers, head lights,turn signals and soon a temp and oil pressure gauge working all the original 1951 ford stuff!

Well It will be a blast! I hope it doesn't rain even tho the wiper switch and motor works I have no wipers yet for the chopped top....Cool to hear about your bros car cant wait to see the photos

The dash is a 1951 ford and the steering assembly is a 1949 Plymouth sedan.

I hope it turns soon...We have DuPont Thursday, Anti lake fair show Friday, and Vintage Saturday. I plan to drive the wheels off that thing.
