Yesterday I pulled the pass. side door from my '67, pulled 2 doors from my '71 super parts car, installed them on the '67, pulled the doors from my '69 parts car, cut-welded. I now have a full set of doors on my project and the rear of the cab built.

I did NO car work (worked on my damned boat), but I DID go and see Herbie!

It was fun. Typical kitschy Disney movie, but fun nonetheless. It was good to see the kids' reactions to Herbie after all these years, it reminded me what was fun about the originals. To see a kid cry when Herbie is towed away after losing the race really brought back memories for me.

Even more funny was how people started clapping at the end of it.

If you liked the originals, it's fun to watch. If you have kids, they'll probably enjoy it too.

Oh, and Lindsey Lohan has HUGE knockers.

I had a great "Family Style" weekend!

On Saturday, we went to my daughters dance recital! She's a member of the Summerlin Dance Academy and is in the junior Hip-Hop class! There were 55 different performances and naturally, hers was the 48th! It was a 1st class, full blown, Las Vegas style production! I enjoyed it big time! (Especially the 18 and 19 year old advanced Hip-Hop class! (No, no Gnf pictures....... )

Yesterday, I took my son and his buddy to the "WWE Vengance" wrestling event at the Thomas & Mack Center! I have no clue why they like this stuff! I had more fun watching the audience than anything else! I am shocked at how many poeple actually believe this stuff is real! But it was a good father son day out! (I can't wait till Matthews old enough to see some real entertainment!)

Oh, I even had time yesterday morning for me and Donnie to turn the roadster around in the storage room.........(getting ready to pull the beam!)

And I even took out my Motorcycle!

Great weekend!

"what doesnt sell will be crushed (or given away....that is where i come in)....so another road trip is in order for sure"

Don't you, pretty much, drive right past my area on your way North? You know, I work out of the house here and OFTEN have a day when I can take some time off for a little drive, or ride with a couple of Buddies . . .

It's offically Tuesday so I can post this. I did a bit more grinding on the drivers side heater channel on the Notch after work on Monday. It's slow going, but I'm making progress.

i ran to bugcity for a new brake line (mc to RF) only to find the bleeder screws were stripped when i went to finish the job. guess i'll just throw some new wheel cylinders in...

also hooked up the gas tank. car was running off a lawn mower tank sitting near the engine. nothing wrong with the lines, just some bad gas in the tank. took a little bit but eventually figgured it out so thats working...

also raided my parts stash in moms basement, brought over my 3" body lift for the baja, and a set of t-bars for the 68 (there arent any on the rear right now and the fronts are rusty)

wasnt feeling too good at work, so finally took off early and went home, remembered that the wife has the garden club coming over to see her garden (and the bugarden) on wednesday, and i hadnt cut the lawn in a few weeks. 90 freekin plus degrees and humid, and i'm out there with the push mower (grass was so tall that i had to do it twice to get it all)

if you cut your lawn and find a car.....you might be a redneck

was in bed by 8:45

Wooohooo. I took the ball joint back to the VW parts place (the incorrect one, that they said, "Oh, those numbers don't matter), and last night I stayed out working on the exhaust on my '66 Variant. Tore out the old stocker stuff and installed a spare Dual Quiet Pack exhaust. Now my exhaust leaks are fixed!!

Started cutting tin for the mock gril on the Ghia. Wasted 2 hours and risked sickness welding zinc coated steel. Trashed it and got some 18 gauge plasma cut at the local metal store.

Bought some bee hive lights for my tail light assembly.
