Default Making an engine test stand from scratch?

Itís simple I got an Engine i want to test fire a starter and no VW transaxle to hack up

Whatís the best way of making this myself? I have a zantec or what ever testing half moon ring ordered but with this covid 19 shit who knows if itís going to be coming.

So I have a bunch of scrap and a drill surely I can cobble together something? Anybody done anything similar? Every place I looked gave me no information and sadly I canít just go find a messed up trans axle and cut off what I need

So any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated.

Do an internet search for a bus bell housing. I have seen them from $25 to $150. Check thesamba.com of course, and maybe do a wanted post on face book Air Cooled VW parts for sale.
