Domestic tierods ?
The old Ford's used oddball threads on their tie rods etc.
You can buy the correct size tap,or threaded bungs,
from the Butt Pirates at Speedway.
Or substitute easier to find parts with more common threads.
Any decent parts store can get any of these tie rods,
and any decent industrial supplier will have taps.
Some of the tapers might be different sizes,so investigate before you buy.

I just pais the "Butt" Pirates at Speedway for a set of heim joints and removed the taper.
