Following a family vacation and returning home and eventually seeing the coupe sitting in the garage, I realized what little business I had trying to paint the car. I really should have taken the time and used the right equipment. Oh well. I'm getting over my painting woes.
I spent the weekend taking care of a few items, and getting it back out on the street. Still have a few more details to complete, but for now, It's time to hit the road!

New camera, some reason I can't resize them..

After more than 11,800 ad views over on the samba, it's finally pending!

Looking forward to building another car that'll involve sacrificing even more American steel... but that will all happen just as soon as the coupe is packed and gone.

I'll start a new build thread to keep you all posted on the next so stay tuned.

I'm happy to say the Coupe has been sold to Lawrence in Hawaii and will be leaving via Matson shipping out of Seattle on the 10th of June.

What this means is I'm looking for a new project!

I'll post a new build thread when I start on my version of a volkstruck.

The twist....graft to the rear of the VW cabin, a 50 Chevy pickup cab. Should be a fun one to figure out. Here is a poor 'paint' design of what I have in mind. May use the bug flat windshiled or go with the v-butted angled glass off the Chevy....still undecided.

Over the past two years, the Stoll has been well cared for by it's new owner in Hawaii. He has gone through it top to bottom, and installed what I might call, an AMAZING powerplant.

Its a VW Injector Plenum body equivalent to a single 45mm carb with CB Performance manifold castings and fuel rail, and a turbo body equivalent to a T-3 turbo, that all ties into the Megasquirt Electronic Control Module.

I don't know what the total displacement or HP but he has not had a chance to fine tune or dyno the thing. I'm sure it will a screamer for sure.

Here it is:

All closed up and hidden:

I'm not a "go fast" HP junky so what you are seeing is all foreign to me. Just a little eye candy for you who like your air-cooled ponies.

Enjoy!
