Re: Is anybody out there?
Sold my silver '69 in April. Since then I had a surgery, was out of work on disability for a couple months, had a garage built, replaced a heat pump, bought another car (2012 Camaro 2SS/RS) had my roof replaced, and I am sure I am forgetting other stuff.
I don't have a VW right now, but there is room in the new garage to build one. I still check on here pretty regular, but don't have a lot to add right now.

Re: Is anybody out there?
I stop by every day to check and see if anything is happening. Somehow I got old and lazy and have stopped all my projects... mostly due to my in-laws moving in and sucking the life out of my home... this has taken it's toll over the last 10 years. They've been here almost that long. Slowly depending more and more on my wife and me until now they are fully dependent on us for transportation and gathering food, meds, clothing, etc... I still have 2 VW's one 70 model that's about 80% complete, the other is a Dune buggy that's in tiny pieces... the only complete piece I have for it is the engine, and the Front end. Chassis is a Karman Ghia... So gotta have the right front end or change to the Standard or modify the mounts for the steering box or some other motion... Still know all the basics of what I need to do, but haven't even looked at my projects in about 5 years due to the above conditions.
I watch this forum for my continued education and entertainment. So it's slow content is evident to me as well.

Re: Is anybody out there?
I check here pretty much every day. I have my recently running turbo 73 standard beetle. It’s not a volksrod, so I haven’t started a topic on it. Hopefully, I will be chopping my oval in the semi near future. I will own a chopped bug before I die, damit!

Re: Is anybody out there?
I check in every day. Not much going anywhere in the "cool car" world around here anymore.. This is the only place where I see what I like.

Re: Is anybody out there?
I sold my Ghia years ago but still have Ghia parts knocking around with a whole bunch of VW books too. I haven't been active here for ages though. I check in about once a year though.
So... See ya next year! ;-)

Re: Is anybody out there?
I'm here, I haven't been here for a few months, I had to reset my password.
I'm all healed up and doing great, 4 months after my transplant and everything is working just fine, I feel better than ever, I hope to get something done on my Volksrod this winter

Re: Is anybody out there?
I am not sure it is worth updating project here anymore, other than to stay organized.

Re: Is anybody out there?
I enjoy reading about and seeing how projects are progressing. My single cab is on hold while I take advantage of dry weather to do some major upgrades on a once small shed and now ‘cottage in our side yard. Once the new roof is completed then it’s back to the installation of the Ron Francis wiring harness. Plus a few other things.

I'll thank him for y'all, I thank him all the time, I feel better than I have in 25 years, I always complained about being cold, so far i'm always hot, we'll see how winter goes
I'm getting ready to do some part time work to fund my Volksrod, my wife isn't working and is going thru retirement disability, somehow they dropped out health insurance, she was trying to keep it, due to everyone being short staffed it could take months,Hey life is still great
I started my physical therapy today, push ups, leg lifts, squats, I walked 2 miles, 30 days I should be ready to tackle the Volksrod
I'll keep y'all updated
Ron

Re: Is anybody out there?
I have been MIA for a long time I tried to get rolling here with the now "old" notch project but just never followed up. I have made huge changes and not been adding photos or a build thread.

Re: Is anybody out there?
I pop in from time to time. Hoping to get back to my project this spring. Life’s been a challenge the last several years and I kinda lost motivation. I’m ready to finish this thing and enjoy it

Re: Is anybody out there?
I'm still hanging in. Down to three projects. Street / race Super Beetle, Berry Mini T, and Bugatti kit car. Trying to sell or trade of any two of them to focus one the third. Serious issues with my hands has slowed work periods to 15 to 20 minutes at a time, so things are dragging pretty slowly. Still can't figure out what the hell an image url is so still can't post pictures. Anyway HI Y'all. and Merry Christmas in case I miss ya then.
