Jeff, shouldn't you be working and not cruising Reddit or Imgur like the rest of your students?

The battery, voltage regulator and generator fried so I replaced all that and cleaned up the wiring........ Then the coil fried so I replaced that and wired in a new ignition switch. Now I'm dealing with a surging / backfire issue. Last weekend I was doing a low speed turn in a parking lot....... it surged and I came very close to dumping it (funky handling at low speed due to the rake).

Still can't touch my Nighthawk because DMV wants $539 in back fees and it's been just over 10 years since the registration expired..... I refuse to tie any money up until it drops out of the system.......

yeah, maybe after I get the bug back on the road regularly, I'll dig into the bike again.. My dad and another buddy pointed me in a couple of directions registration wise.. one referenced a CVC that states that DMV can waive fees if it's plausible that the new owner didn't know about them before purchase, the other is a guy who haggled with his local DMV a couple of times, then wrote a letter to the commissioner in Sacramento.. both got their bills reduced..

Woah man !! .. stretch the up tube by 6 inches, 5-7 degrees more rake on the fork yoke, 15 inch over-stock springers and a pair of high up pull-back handlebars, slam the seat and extend the pedals, pair of highway pegs ..... would look uber silly with a true-fire on black flame job :)

Here's a bunch of local lads who are enjoying the fun of mopeds.

All started after the earthquakes when bikes were the easiest to get around town on. Now we have a regular get togethers and runs
