This is going WAYYY out on a limb here, but I thought I'd ask.

Scoured google and the Jockey Journal without any luck.
Boss and I will be fabricating a replica Featherbed frame for my Enfield build and I need dimensions for the Wideline frame.

Boss says he can "eyeball" it, but if there are dimensions, that would be more than helpful.

Oh, I have a Haynes manual for my CB750 that has an entire page dedicated to the frame WITH exact demensions. Is there one for a Norton?

the factory manual for my triumph has exact measurements just like the honda manual, so i'd assume there were some for the early atlas frames but i can't say for sure. the best i can offer is a pdf of the original patent requests for the featherbed frame. it has measurement points but doesn't have any numbers on it. probably useless for fabricating other than a very good line drawing of the frame.

Trikertroy, do you make a front engine VW trike frame? if so how much $ for one? Nope,, but BadAss does and to completly honest and to give the VERY best advise is that you will be WAY ahead with his frame... (trust me,, Im a mechanic) LOL... The same advise applies to my Monster Leading Link kits... I havent set the final price yet,,, but my target price is $325 non-welded and no shocks...It would be almost impossible to match that with the hardware, material, and machine work... A machined axle and neck stem will be included..as well as a 1"DOM tube that spans the space between the rockers and fitting over the axle for alignment purposes and then can be cut down for wheel spacers later... Im trying to make this as compete and as much quility and still keep the price as low as possible.. If anyone sees ANYTHING cheaper and better, please let me know... There will be a $25 discount for V-rodders who post regularly here.. I feel that with a quility product at a fair price, everybody wins!!!... (what a concept!)

i would guess them tires are close to 12 inches wide, maybe a bit more

i might try to save money to buy a frame from BadAss Trikes, but by the time i save that much money i could probably build one my self if i had plans or maybe some measurements, i have plenty on tube to build a frame, i could build a frame around the motor and 2 transaxles, the rest i would like a few measurements

know anyone near me that might own one, maybe i can get them to let me measure a few things and build my own

see i have way more time than money, i have machinery and have access to lots more machinery material isnt much of a problem either

so saving money is like pulling teeth to me until i get my doctor and credit cards payed off which will take a while

when i get the Bug going we will see what happens with the Trike

and if anyone had a mid engine VW Trike i could get some measurements from and some angles, maybe a few close up pictures, but a set of detailed plans is what i really want

i dont work, my job is staying healthy and building whatever i can in my work shop

maybe i will call BadAss Trikes and aske them for some plans

ok enough from me until i start building something with 3 wheels

I can help you with the spec`s and frame design...email me at trikertroy@aol.com... What I will suggest FIRST is to gather the drive train stuff together,, mock it up and design the frame from there...Its really only fifth grade plain geometry... I know my frame designs are different then the BaddAss frames..but that will make things even more interesting... I had thought of buying one of their frames at one time, but it would have had to be modified quite a bit to please my tastes...

No joking, it lookslike that would have sucked air right off of the rider'stomach and thigh. I wonder if the rider's position would have created a high pressure area there, increasing intake velocity.

Bad ass bike. Looks like a 4LS front brake. probably not stock, probably cost him a fortune. The right side brake is actuated by a center-pivoting arm, which I've never seen done before. Usually just with a 2-1 cable or twin cables.
Also the rear brake is cable actuated, not by a solid rod. Great ideas for my Royal Enfield cafe project...

Anyone know if the honda 500 shadow is the same wiring as a 750 ?
Hubby has searched for the last 2 weeks online and found several wiring diagrams for other hondas, but nothing for an 85 honda 500 shadow.
About the only thing left besides some wires , paint the gas tank, is build the seat and it'll be on the rd.
Any ideas?

He's put the controls from another 74 honda on it, has the diagram for that. So he's just needing to know the color codes on the 500 so he can hook them together.

I have a small update on my Royal Enfield project..

First off, I got my heads and cylinders back from a local engine shop after a good bead blasting and hot tanking

The heads need to be milled a bit to raise the compression, along with a good porting. After that, an exhaust valve guide needs to be replaced, then on to re-assembly. I'm aiming on getting the cylinders over to the machinist for re-boring sometime this week, then several coats of hi-temp gloss black.

Here's a lucky buy on ebay. Set of aluminum triple trees, seller claimed to be made by Ceriani. All the hardware is metric, so it's european...

So far I'm under budget with this build.

Went down to Seattle yesterday to a benefit dyno day for a local racer that crashed a while back. lots of vintage style bikes and a bit of newer muscle as well. My ZX7 pulled 94 hp at the wheel, my friend Eric's Triumph Tiger 1050 pulled 104 hp and and my friend Rebecca's DRZ400 pulled a whopping 28 Hp.

I don't know, shorten the fork, move the foot controls back a bit and drop the handlebars and he will really have something there.

Well I been meaning to take pics of my bike n throw em up here for a while... i'm just lazy..... anywho.....

its a 2006 yamaha v-star 1100, lowered 2 inches in back, pipes air cleaner, jets seat, license plate lay down kit.... not much but i like it...

Plans are braided lines, new mirrors, white walls and a set of cruiser bars.....
