Re: Motorcycle Thread
I've been wanting one of these since they showed the first pics in 2006. My wife has been squirreling away money since then to make it happen. I know its not everybodys cup of tea but damn this thing is comfy.
We picked it up last Saturday. 2008 Victory Vision.
This one was a demo bike so we got a pretty good deal on it and it still carries the "new bike" 5 year unlimited mileage warranty.
Just got to sell the Shadow now.

Re: Motorcycle Thread
Finally a medical update on my shoulder injury from the deer hunting encounter. After 5 months of physiotherapy without much progress, I finally got in for an MRI. Got the results this morning and I have 2 torn tendons in the rotator cuff explaining why I can't raise my arm to the side above shoulder level. I'll be going under the knife in 3-6 months with a 2-3 month recovery time. I'll be off the bike for at least a month after the surgery. Damn it.

Sweet Bike, & Welcome to the Board!
Cool looking boat in your intro you did too!
Maybe you could do a thread on what you did to it?
Later,
Steve X.

new to the board
found this thread so i thought i would add my cafe project. its a 99 nighthawk 750, 79 cb 750 hubs, 16" harley rims, clip on bars, updated lighting to led turns and tail, reshaped the tank myself, custom seat, decals are from carpy in california. future plans are to shorten the seat to a single, shorten the rear end and rear cowl to blend it all in, a 70's era looking tri-bar headlight from carpy. fresh repaint re-decal, smaller profile front tire, and small fender and then it will be complete enough to make me happy.

Re: Motorcycle Thread
It's been a while since I've posted anything regarding my v-rod or my Enfield; been super damn busy with everything lately.
Mitch has been giving me lots of time to work on my own bike with Viva Las Vegas coming up pretty quick, and me, running out of time.
Started working on the Featherbed frame a little while ago, which is coming out awesome, taking in account that this is my first frame!
Pics:
Swing Arm side plates made from 3/16 chromoly plate
This frame is super fucking light so far with 1.25x90 Chromoly tubing. Mitch guesses it will weigh in the 30lb area.
So far, the engine is ready to go, minus the hi-po valve springs/ heads, mag chain/magneto, and carbs/intakes.
Let me know what you guys think.

Re: Motorcycle Thread
Hey, that's one nice Honda. I love what you did with the 'Honda' logo on the tank.
Break...
Ncie job building the frame. What's you plan for a swing arm?

I'm actually re-using the RE swing arm from my Super Meteor since I already had the mounts made on the jig and I'm re-using the stock rear hub as well.
Those Honda decals that mimic the Norton logo can be found here:
CB750Cafe
Pretty rad. I'm doing a similar thing to the decals on my Enfield tank. The "Royal" will be the same but will change the "N" in "Enfield" to the Norton "N" with the loop.
Triumph+Norton = Triton
Triumph+BSA = Tribsa
Norton+Vincent = Norvin
Royal Enfield+Norton = Noryal Tonfield?

Re: Motorcycle Thread
Ya gotta love a V8 motorcycle...Great power to weight ratio... but not nimble..
My 327 trike can beat my 1915VW trike in a stright line, (but not by much!) but has NO chance in a corner..
I gotta admit that sitting behind that very responsive V8 kinda makes me feel like King Shit!! Varrrooommmmm!!!

Re: Motorcycle Thread
Cafe drool material.
Guzzi to be available soon!
One of these should be fairly cheap to duplicate.

Re: Motorcycle Thread
The Guzzi is being released in Europe for 2010. Probably won't see these shores until at least 2012 if at all. Only 48 hp too.
