Re: Motorcycle Thread
My latest Duc project is starting to shape up... the rear fender will likely be shortened but I need to figure out the taillight and plate mounting before I start hacking away on it anymore...

bars are tweaked, front brake master and mount are done, forks are slightly bent, my stator cover is shattered, tank came unmounted, my rear rim is demolished, pipe is smashed, the chain is now loose from idk what, havent spotted and cracks or bents in the frame tho

Re: Motorcycle Thread
Ouch dude, Looks salvageable as long as there are no frame cracks or bends. Are the forks still straight? Your chain is loose because as your bike slid it probably knocked it forward a little. You still have most of your skin, right?

Re: Motorcycle Thread
yeah im good i had leather jacket up, top jeans with knee pads, boots, and gloves but it ate through the knee pads and got some rash on my wrist and knee. my laces from my boots got cut off as soon as i fell so they didnt do much to stop my ankle from getting sprained, but nothings broken and i can walk on my own power slowly but surely.
one thing i noticed on the bike was that the swing arm was kind of tweaked because the chain tension adjuster which is was on the ends of the swing arm were pushed into the swing arm so that probably needs replacing but other than a dent in the frame from the handle bar it looks straight
and for the forks they are bent a bit as the wheel is facing a few degrees off perpendicular of the triple

Here's a pic of my OTHER V-Rod (A.K.A. Bad Dog)
Turboed, nitrous, 300 rear, air front and back w/onboard compressor.
I made all the body parts and did the paint.
Now if I can make my 65 bug as fast as this bike....

Cool bike! Gotta get one while you can! I know Buell's don't sell as well as Harleys, but I can't understand killing off the brand.

Re: Motorcycle Thread
If you're talking about a SR-500 single, I've seen a couple built into really nice Cafe racers.

Re: Motorcycle Thread
Well i been working on my bike alot , Had it painted , my buddy Chris got it titled . We started her up and she sounded bad ass ! The next day we found an oil leak coming from the oil tank it self , it had a bad weld so i had to grind it down , re-weld it and i pressure tested it this time before i dropped the tank off for paint again .

Hey TB, that was fun! I noticed the front end got , um, 'light,' a couple times on the cloverleaf. Is the Security Patrol there to clear the road for ya?
