The rattling you hear is the rear fender, a bolt on the bracket fell out, he found it later, it was not going to go anywhere though but was annoying.

no, he just didn't fully retighten a bolt when he was messing with tail lights the other day, it's called being impatient

camera makes it sound deeper, to me it sounds more like a drag bike now, hard to see it started as a honda 750

Yesterday I yanked the carb and noticed the previous owner had put the fuel line on the vent tube. That's why it flodded when I turned on the fuel petcock. I refreshed the carb at work today, got some fuel line off an engine in the garage, gave it a few kicks and it started up.

There's a few exhaust leaks as well as an oil leak but it ran pretty good. I still need to adjust the carb a bit and take care of the leaks but I'm pretty happy with my latest investment.

Bought another bike last night... a 2008 Yamaha xv250 with less than 2300 miles on the ticker.

I have a back fender to bob and a set of handlebars, some Krylon for the lower legs on the forks and it will look like this.

Rebuilt the carb again on the Kawasaki. This time I cleaned the hell out of it with carb cleaner and put an inline filter on. I broke the overflow tube in the float bowl so hopefully my JB Weld job on it will work.

If not, I'll just have to yank it out a third time.

Oh, Jeff, the wife found out about the Kawasaki yesterday and said "NO MORE!!!"

At least she didn't say "Get rid of it."

Hubby fixed something in one of scrap iron's carbs like that, he used fuel tank putty~

no more huh? awwww, ya shoulda known that was coming

We'll have 1 less bike here soon. Shadow for the atv plus $500, which we found out is not a grizzly but a kodiak. Bike needs tires and brakes eventually, but atv needs brakes , clutch cooling fan, and a bunch of other little things now.
Scrap iron is now just waiting for tires~ besides, a seat cushion, repaint, maybe or I'll just stripe the hell out of it to hide the scratches it has gotten since last summer~ just tinkering.

Yeah, like that is going to stop you. You'll probably find a deal on 12 Vespas next week and have the coming off a trailer like clowns out of a clown car!

I thought I'd post a few pictures to explain why I don't have time to build a vrod right now.

First up is my '96 Super Glide. I bought this bike new in '96 and I still seem to find new ways to personalize it every year. It puts out just shy of 90 hp out of 80 C.I.D.

Next is my '04 Electra Glide Classic. Also bought new. When I started working on this bike I wanted it to have a 50's custom car feel to it. I just got done putting on spoked wheels with red powder coated rims.

And finally, my project bike. It's a '78 Yamaha XS650 bobber project. It's still got a ways to go but, I'm in no hurry to finish it.

I've used JB Weld on 2 tanks. No problems so far!

i got some 3 ring binders with restoration/build manuals for the HD Shortster (X90) and the Rapidos /Sprints ( the Aermacchi single piston wonders) if anyone needs them....
