Re: Motorcycle Thread
I've been in hibernation for a while, in all actuality I've been going motorcycle nuts this summer. Been working a little on my xs650. Bought the wife a cherry barn find 78 kz400. Will be completely tearing down my xs on Monday to start from scratch and do it right. I've also been hanging at CHOPPERHACK.COM if any of you bike nuts wanna hang you're more than welcome to come over and shoot the breeze with us.
My xs650 as of now.
Christy's kz400
A cool dub ad with Christy's kz

Re: Motorcycle Thread
Been a long time since I really posted much here, but I thought I'd give you a chance to see what made me put my v-rod on the back-burner for a year and a half (not including the gf )
Finally finished building my dream bike and being on a strict budget, I waited and waited for deals.
When someone says "cafe racer", these bikes pop into my head:
85% late 50's/early 60's period correct (except the front brake, forks, late 60's Amal 930 carbs, and modern wiring). Enjoy.

I've seen the "Road Dog" in person and that thing is a huge, ugly monster. I can't imagine trying to ride that thing.

Just to clarify for the smart asses, she's pretty much full throttle on the scoot and I'm in first gear.

Thanks! Now I just have to get the fucker registered. I have the original license plate that was registered in '92 as an Indian (Royal Enfields were re-badged as Indians in the early to late '50s. I promptly swapped the Indian badge for a better looking Royal Enfield badge as soon as it came in the mail!)
but since it has been out of the system for a while, I might have to get it checked out by the CHP. Plus I made the frame and I'll have to stamp the original numbers from the stock frame if the title is clean.
