Re: Motorcycle Thread
i never get why some states dont have helmet laws btw. safety gear and helmet should be worn by every one riding a bike. doesnt improve safety for others cause of driving like idiots on a bike, but at least the bikers dont need to get scraped of the roads when they crash.
be sane, wear helmet and preferbly some decent leather gear to protect yerself

Re: Motorcycle Thread
Thanks Bill. For those that don't know, Leslie holds the fastest record on a motorcycle of any woman in the world. 234mph. Although one of her runs was over 140+, she wasn't able to back it up with a run close yp it.

They don't call them donorcycles at Shock Trauma for nothing. Not only do a lot of states not have helmet laws, Some of them really don't even require you to ever pass a test and get a full license to ride legally. I know Pennsylvania and South Carolina let you ride on a learners permit indefinitely.
I still can't believe my wife. Fucking made me give up riding about 15 years ago when my cousin lost his leg, gave me hell when I bought my scooter about 5 years ago when I couldn't stand not riding any longer. Bitches at me all the time when I take off on a ride, and now...........
SHE WANTS ME TO BUY A FUCKING HARLEY!
fuckin women.
She was visiting one of her girlfriends from school last month and they all went out on a charity ride for her son who has an inoperable brain tumor. She sends me pictures riding down the road on a softail, no fucking helmet.

Had a bee hit me square between the eyes while driving the bus with the safaris open when I was a kid. I knew it was stupid but figured easy cruising through the city was no problem.
Remains on the my 'top three' list for pain I've felt. I can't imagine what would have happened if it had been an eye.

Re: Motorcycle Thread
I used to absolutely HATE full face helmets... but a couple smacks in the face trail riding brought me around.
If (and by "if" I mean WHEN ) I get a trike so I can ride again, I'm going to get one of those flip face helmets, they look like they'd be easier to wear for a guy with glasses.

Upon closer inspection, she's not as hot as I first thought. Too bad.

Re: Motorcycle Thread
All this talk about full face helmets and bees got me thinking. I've never had a problem with getting hit with bugs or an accidental ingestion of one. I have my scarf or hanky wrapped around my face... solves that problem. I also wear my goggles- gotta clean the bugs off that and my helmet every night I ride. No worries.

Deal breaker?
Sorry man, that would probably get my BVDs in a bind REAL quick, especially after getting an earful for so long.

I'm thinking if you would turn her down then Turbo Punk needs to slide over to the shotgun position of the Miata and we need to start a new thread.....

Ahh. It's a Miata sort of thing. Why didn't you say so? I hear that Walmart has an inflatable Miata complete with a wig assortment to fit your mood.

Re: Motorcycle Thread
Awesome bike. I think it would look better with fatter fork tubes and smoked out the Chrome on them to match the rest of the bike though. Still sweet as it sits.

Re: Motorcycle Thread
Agreed. Awesome bike. I would like to see it with wire wheels instead of the mags. Somehow they just don't look right on a bobber.
I got the title transferred, insurance, plates, and my learners permit. I an good to go to ride the kz.

Excellent
My bike is still parked in my garage in non-op status. End of this month will make it 1 year since I bought it I'm waiting for work to slow down so I can go to one of those rider schools so I can get my motorcycle license back.

Re: Motorcycle Thread
Well, I got the KZ title transferred, got insurance, got it registered and plated, and passed my written test for my Temporary Instruction Permit. Took it out for a little run round the block when I got home from work. I feel very comfortable on the bike so far....of course I never got out of 3rd gear or over 30mph.
It felt great to be riding again. Looking forward to hooking up with some of my friends that ride and get some seat time before my endorsement class on May 7th.
