I would like to purchase # 60 please. I will send the money over the mail. I also am going to be using a empi shifter with the lift lever for reverse. I'm hoping you know what the thread count is. thank you and please let me know if it is still available.

thanks,

Todd

#60 is yours Todd. I am not sure of the thread count, but it might be back in this thread somewhere because a few other folks have asked for it.

Drilling and tapping tonight. Most of the first batch of knobs are polished, drilled and have the medallions glued in. Just need to get the right thread size in the right knob and then the first group can go in the mail.

First batch is ready to be shipped. Will be boxing them up tonight and putting them in the mail tomorrow.

There are a few that I never got a thread preference for.

004 - Peter Harris
018 - Zach Connell
052 and 054 - Kristian Ekstrand
062 - James Lamb
084 - Nate Prince
099 - Scott Terrell
060 - HotRod Todd (Need to tell me the thread size...looks like the EMPI shifters varied some)
058 - Kim Crumb
066 - Ron Metalmaster1776

If I don't hear anything different, I will just ship them with a pilot hole.

Those in RED above I also need a shipping address.

Mine will be going on a 74 Std bug. So whatever thread size fits the stock shifter works for me.

Could you save time, and money on shipping, by just sending a selection of the 'Pilot Holes' in a small envelope?

The 052 goes into the 52 Hebster (splitbeetle) with M10 I think? I'll check and confirm it tomorrow!
And 054 is going on a shortened latebay. No idea what thread at the moment so I 'll check that tomorrow too.

From what I can find online, it looks like VW used the following:

7 x 1.00
61-67 Bug/Ghia

10 x 1.50
49-60 Bug/Ghia
52-67 Bus

12 x 1.50
68-79 Bug/Super Beetle
68-74 Ghia
68-79 Bus
73-74 Thing
62-73 Type 3

according to that:
052 -> M10 x1.50
054 -> M7 x 1.00 (shifter in the 356 will be custom anyways..)
Thanks!

Knobs are all ready to go. Just a couple more to drill and tap when we get to the cabin on Sunday. I have all of the boxes and packing material, mailing labels, etc. Should be on their way to everyone on Monday.

All but a couple of the shift knobs that I am waiting on payment for or have an odd thread size have gone out in the mail today! Most of you should have them by the weekend.

Don't forget to look for the small baggy with the locking nut in the box. It is not attached to the shift knob so don't throw it out with the packing material.

Still lots of numbers available if anyone else wants one.
