From what I hear, these are a bullet proof rig. You going to chop and lower it?

Maybe spindles and rear springs. It has coils in the rear. It has 16Ē rims with two like new tires and spindles require at least 17Ē rims. So not in a big hurry. Going to tow the trailer later today for the first time.

Just scored a Grant I guess mahogany steering wheel and VW adapter for $30. The guy met me near my house. And made a new VW friend.

Very cool! Really a neat find, and just thirty bucks with the adapter? damn.
Back in 'The Day', I ran a Grant 'wood' wheel on my old Ford coupe. It was bullet proof. If I recall correctly, the wheel center, 'three spokes' and inner rim were chrome. The outer top and bottom were mahogany.

This is fat rimmed and the center is aluminum center. Itís lighter than the black steel three spoke thatís on the car. Iím going to change the tach and install the aluminum dash parts I have. Now that the wheel
Is off.

That *IS* a nice score... for less than the monthly payment on a new one. Cool!

I'll have to remember to check the brand if I ever get home again (I only visit family every couple of years it seems...)

we have two boxes that look exactly like that in our garage.. Dad's had em since like the 80's. same crinkled brown paint job and drawer placement with sliding front cover..

Just scored a lightly used 40 Series 3Ē Flowmaster muffler for $5. Even has two clamps on it. Gonna make it fit the Tahoe.

When I put a 2 1/2" Flowmaster and a K&N air filter on my '99 3.0 V6 Ranger, I picked up just over 1 mpg. It sounds better too.

So about 3 years ago my oldest son was offered an 82 Mustang with a HO 5.0, it's set up to race, it is my grand daughters other grandma's husbands, he put it in car shows until about 2012, then he had to replace the solenoid, after he did it the battery was dead, he hooked the jumper cables up backwards and thought he fried the wiring harness, no lights no nothing, it sat in his driveway for 7 years and rusted away, my son paid $50 to have it towed to our house, he put a battery in it and started checking all the wires, turns out when he put the solenoid on he put 1 wire on the wrong side of where the battery cabel go and no power was getting to anything, he put the wire where it's supposed to go and it cranked over, he had to add gas and blow out the fuel lines, they were plugged from sitting so long, I sprayed starting fluid in to keep it running until fuel got to the carb, runs great, has no braked except the E-brake, the floor pan is completely rotted out as well as both front strut towers, the 82 model they upped the hp from 165 to 235 and a 4 speed, they didn't make many with the Cobra emblems, he sent me all the history of the car, I have it somewhere, he thinks he can trade it for something, he hasn't got the title yet and it can't sit out in front of our house much longer
He wants to put it in the driveway that goes to my garage, I told him if it sits there for to long that I'm gonna take the engine, trans, and rear end out and put it in my Bug, I set it up with a clutch pedal, all I'll hafta do is put the rear end in, finish the firewall and it will be ready to drive, I may just swap everything from my Bug to his car and scrap it, I just got my driveway cleared out, I don't want anything that isn't mine back there again

Here he is going up the street with no brakes and open headers on Thanksgiving day, all the neighbors were wstching, windows were rattling

https://youtu.be/FodP6ZCy1j8

BTW, the first time I saw this car in 2008 it was beautiful, he took good care of it until he thought he broke it, just 1 wire
