Default Kadron setting up question

On a 1641 twinport engine with 009 distributor, 130 mains and 55 idle jets. Once warm idles nice at 1000rpm very steading. If I blip the throttle it hesitates for a second and spits a flame out the exhaust. Does this mean I have too much squrt from the accelerator pump or too little? Thanks

It could mean that you have too much accelerator pump charge, or could mean you're already running a bit rich... It could mean a lot of things... Could be a timing issue even... Remove the air filter (if you have one in place) and "blip". it when the air is more available... might tell you something. Generally speaking any afterfire (flames form exhaust) is too rich for one reason or another.

Kaddie Shack has some great tech articles on setting up/tuning Kadron's. Helped me when setting up a pair years ago.

All set up but a flat spot when I blip the throttle so ordered a 034 distributor.
