When tinkering with the T/S switch which I eventually replaced, I removed the two screws clamping it to the column. Then I shot the internals with contact cleaner. After working it a few times I got all but the right rear light back. I traced that down to a broken internal pivot. But before the contact cleaner I had pretty much zip.

Started assembling the inboard disk brake setup. Got a lot of parts and am getting quite crazy with it. I'll post pics soon!

I'm not gonna have a speedo in my Volksrod. Just tach, oil temp, and voltmeter. Once it's drivable, I'll use the gps speedo app on my old phone to figure out what speed I'm going at different rpm. Then I'll make a cheat sheet with my embossing label maker, and stick the labels on the windshield.

Fixed the speedometer las weekend, plastic gears inside wear dry. I asked about the blinker, "seems to work fine ". ok
Tuesday night lost headlight high.
Wed morning assembly broke after a left turn. I became that person who drives for miles and miles with their blinker on and then turns the opposite way
New one ordered from Herrel's.
But as some of my loving friends said, at least the engine hasn't dropped out on a busy intersection,,,,,, yet~

Hmm. When I click on any of the above I get that I have not logged in and there's a tiny background voice saying "Danger, Will Robinson!"

Or the lighter side, depending on how you look at it.

I would have to say, "WOW!" Do you have a spray bomb brand you like in particular?

I used krylon for the flat black, including the hammer tone. Rustoleum for the grey. Roof was rusty since I let it stay half bare for 2 yrs because I was told someone would bring home some sealer
Krylon used to have turnable flat fan spray nozzle, like a spray gun, was nice to get smooth full coverage, now they're all round spray. Easier to get runs. The hammer was still flat fan.
I used krylon on all my pinstripe panels , but I don't really have a preference. It's available, cheap, decent coverage, my car doesn't look like a flaky junkyard heap any more~
Only reason I didn't do purple, I don't care for the 2 colors available locally.

Well, it was today, not yesterday, please don't hate.

I finally rolled the Dyna out to the driveway this morning. First time it's been outside in a year and a half.

So I got a couple pics of all the current projects.

I'm not a hater, trying to eliminate that word from my vocabulary, that's tough, been trying to say I really dislike it, this or that, but hate rolls off the tounge so much easier, there's snow, cloudy days when the temperature is below 65 degrees, working on my wife's car
I see borderline depression
I love all your projects, always wanted a bike & a boat, I've collected almost all the stuff to build a VW front engine trike, I just need to bend the tubing, machine a few parts, cast & machine a few parts, then put it all together, tough to do with my non existent budget, 6-1/2 years & our first & biggest mortgage is paid off, 4-1/2 years & my wife can retire with a full pension plan IF her J.O.B. isn't outsourced before then (she's facing a layoff on the 28th)

So yesterday I went to my grandma's, my mom found her uncle's purple heart medal & few other medals with a picture of him taken 4-22-1944 & I couldn't see it because it was small, a pin what my be the USS Herring Submarine that got sunk off the shore of Maya Island 6-1-1944, a nice bit of precious heirlooms

Have a few other thing not worth mentioning, but it was a nice day going down memory lane

Yup, I have the a complete swing axle & emptied trans case, I made templates to mate everything together & the equipment to cast & machine everything myself

I need to rebuild my website but all I have is my pocket computer I'll manage sooner or later

My dad built a VW trike in oh, 75. With a 36hp. Built it all from scrap, and it showed. I've got pics somewhere. Built it to sell. Said it was the only vehicle he ever made money off of

Played with the tug and the Dyna over the weekend. Building a roof rack - hand rail - light bar for the boat. Needs more fittings, much to my chagrin. EBay to the rescue

Got my eBay score Street Bob fender and led repop Model A taillight mocked up on the Dyna. This thing is getting so close now!

I've got the same taillights on the Bug. Wasn't my plan, but that's how it worked out.

That boat is crazy fun. I bought plans to build a smaller one, but then found this one pin Craigslist. Paid too much, but it's what I wanted. I've had to do a lot of repairs, cause it was a badly built boat. But it's coming along. Everybody that sees it or a pic of it smiles. Picked up a new engine yesterday
