Haha you guys are funny. I think a fake VW engine in the rear would be pretty cool. Pretty sure I could make that happen too.

After I came back from Vietnam my brother and I built a 47 Ford four door sedan with an Olds Toronado power train in the back. Enclosed with a metal fire wall and a bunch of old boxes , milk crates and assorted crap tossed in back to fill the space and hide the enclosure. Exhaust had six mufflers and was whisper quiet. Up front we put a B & S 7hp Tote Goat engine ( rigged so we could start and stop it from inside the car) and running a belt back under the car where it just spun on an idler pully but couldn't be seen. Whenever we pulled into a gas station we would start the noisey little one lunger a block ahead of time and jump out and open the hood before starting to pump gas. People would hear the noise, look in the former engine bay and freak out. Especially wild when we left the station smoking the rear tires with the hopped up 455 under power and still silent ! Wish we hadn't let that one go.

Really high energy little guy. Someone tagged him Firecracker, and it seems to fit.

76 rescue horses at last count. Working with them leaves not nearly enough time to work on all the projects, so several are up for sale. Including this one. I still keep going back to mid engine stuff. Sorry for the highjack.

Finally got around to pulling the engine out. As expected, spun bearing on #2.

I'm unfamiliar with this "plague" you speak of... can you elaborate?

Photobucket now charges $399 a year if you want to share photos on a 3rd party site.

OKeedokee... I guess I see now where this is going... I read their lame excuse and understand what's happening (It hasn't hit my stuff yet, but I am already in process of removing photos and closing account... Looks like Facebook is the new Photobucket for me... until Zuckerberg needs to buy a new Country or pair of shoes for his children.

Doesn't Facebook just claim ownership for everything posted on there? I don't remember been to long since I gave up on that. Anything more or less vw related can be posted to thesamba's gallery. Free! I feel better about supporting Everett than zuckerberg, even with his new mission statement about saving the world or whatever it is.

Yep it sucks. Lots of lost threads on many forums. For some of you, your pictures will show until the end of the year. For others, its just another week or so before it all gets shut down. But ya, $400 a year? Seriously PB!? Not going to happen.

Well since all my pictures are gone, how about a video of the new engine getting fired off.

That was the boring video. Ill get the good one up soon. You guys really need to hear the blower in action. Thats where all the fun is. I got about 10 miles on it now. No full throttle pulls yet but it already feels faster then the last engine.
