Default VW hill climb car
Re:: On Chasing Classic Cars

Episode is called "A gift for Roger"

So thes are some photos I took from the TV of a killer historic VW hill climb car. Some bits that I heard and noticed

It is an early pan car. The owner changed it to mid engine in 61 (not with a 61 but in the year 1961!!)
Engine is a Porsche 356 4cam engine
Guy swapped to mid engine because he kept hitting the motor on the ground on the course.
I think the black and white photo was before the mid engine swap happened

Sweet little car and very quick. He raced it at the Hershey Grand Ascent two years ago. He blew the transmission out on his fifth or sixth pass at the hill. The engine is a Fuhrmann four-cam.

I was more interested in the motor in that episode. I would have liked to see them completely go through that motor and rebuild it.
