will it have a bed to cover the 914 running gear? or is that top secret?!
TFTom

It will have a bed similar to the one that I built for the 31 Chevy that parked next to it in the photos. The only difference will be that the 34 bed will have a little more detail to it.

damn boys that looks killer... love the mail slot.
out of curiosity (since i have never had the pportunity to play with these) how wide is the cab? at the windshield and the rear of the door?
<div align="right">Quoted post</div>

I don't know what the dimensions are but it is about 2" wider than a model A. That is one of the reasons that we chose the 32-34 cab..............because it is the roomiest ford cab that still has a visor.

Good job
You know...... we haven't decided on a color sceme yet but it will definately either have flames or scallops. We have been talking scallops all along. I really like the black base color with any other color for the grafix but Don is a little reluctant to have a black paint job. I do like the black with blue that you picked. Here's my take on it, green with laced-paint scallops
I redid the outlines in Adobe Illustrator if you're interested. Easy to do color schemes from there.

That really looks awesome Nick. Nice job. But I have to say the laced scallops are a little too sixties for me. We want to keep it a real traditional look. Personally I like Black with red scallops lined in white. And I would probably do the interior in tuck & roll, mainly white with red piping.
Thanks for cleaning up the lines.

I love that last one you did Nick.
I am just so hesitant to go black.. I had one black car and it was just impossible to keep looking good I swore I would never have another. You can spend 4 hours detailing it to the max to only have it look filthy in a matter of hours.
But I do love the look. decisions, decisions...

hey guys, not that your askin but my 2 cents worth that would make that truck even more amazing is satin black with copper accents. as an example check out Jesse's James bike he built to cruise Mexico with, those 2 colors are so hot together and they suit the vintage style to a tee. just an idea, im crackin at the chance to do that on something soon, maybe a bike i dont know but i do know it looks real fine

Gowjobs rendering looks pretty cool as well.
Copper with black graphics might be cool. It would look very traditional and its not to much black to keep clean.

damn all of you.
How soon you plannin on painting that? 'Cause I was going either Brown with Tan scallops or Copper with black/tan/red scallops.
Now that the body is largely done, I'll be doing body work soon...
Damn me and my poor timing.
I just can't have another satinblack/red wheels/ whitewalls car.
Go to VW Vortex... there's a thread in almost every forum re: Satin Black Rabbits! Satin Black Golfs! Satin Black Jettas!
There's even a satin black CRX that I see on the way to work.
--tough words from a guy who drove a satin black astro van w/ red wheels and wide whites!

Looks like a 2.0l 914 engine, 3 bolt heads I guess a 914 5sp Transaxle. You going to mount it like a 914 with engine forward or engine to rear VW style?
It ought to be a killer nomater what
