My first street bike was a 74 Honda CB360 in 1984.

Dress for the crash, not for the ride.

lol my first bike was a '73 CB350F or 4 or whatever the four cylinder 350 was called. Never got it running right with the 4 carbs, but put a nice paint job on it and sold it. :(
Back in the day my uncle had the same bike as you and rode it from Georgia to CT!

Hey p-nor, just got home a little bit ago and got the bike resting in the garage. Pretty stoked about it and got my buddy to really want a bike now.

I'm going to change the plugs and oil tomorrow night and hopefully if the weather holds I'll be able to take a spin around the neighbourhood

I've already ordered a bunch of new parts for my bike and got a rebuild kit for the carbs (4), new throttle cables, all brake new brake lines.. the works.

Hopefully I should get mine running in just a couple weeks. I've already taken it around the apartment complex a couple times to give me even more motivation that I already have, to get the bike on the road.

Another one brought back from the Dead. Snatched from the Very Jaws of the Crusher.

Glad to hear you got it running and will soon have back in the Wind!

The eighteen seconds it rained yesterday were a real hardship, what with the sun popping out afterward and causing the roads to steam for gosh, maybe another six minutes.
And it was really awful here today too, the temp plunged into the seventies and most of the folks around here wore socks with their sandles. I rode my Triumph to the VA and nearly got a chill from wearing my summer gloves and no jacket liner. Is it this bad everywhere?

Nah, you're not alone. I like cafe bikes but also have a soft spot for "crotch rockets"

That's a 160 Monza Jr. I'm working on. The project has stalled lately but it's further along than that. Bad pic but it's about all I have right now. Pearlescent silver with straight black.

I'm also starting on a 250 that's going to be a 350 but it's not far enough along yet to show pics.

Here is my DNEPR that I picked up a while back. Its a mix of Russian parts but thats pretty standard.

It should be pretty nice once I have the time. But for now its getting cleaned and shipped home.

Man, you guys are touchy out there. If it makes you feel any better, there were (some) clouds today and the striping on my fairing took almost two hours to dry.

Nice bikes! If everyone had at least two, it would be a far better world.

Thanks for the compliments you guys. I wasn't sure about the color at first either. It started growing on me but I guess that doesn't matter because I am going to start ripping it apart to do some other stuff to it and it will get some different colors. I am going to rebuild the engine, new carbs. change the rear drum brake for a hydraullic one. Put a different rear fender and sissy bar on it and a few other odds and ends. I am thinking of a matte brown and a matte white paint scheme. What do you guys think?

How fast did the BSA run? Flatheads and Brit bikes, you gotta love `em.

I didn't get to see it run.
In a week or two they'll post the run sheet on the website: http://ecta-lsr.com/

I keep looking at that BSA. I really like it. The triumph isn't bad either but that BSA is definatly sweet.

Has anyone ever run cherry bombs on their motorcycle. If so what do you think?

I was packing up my 1959 Dnepr and started day dreaming about a flat black bike with two red cherry bombs on each side...

Yes...no...?

Any pics of the bike as it is now? I have a huge fascination with '60 and older bikes (not sure if you posted a pic yet but I'm too lazy to search through all the previous pages of this thread ).

The black and red contrast is ALWAYS cool in my book. Try photoshopping it? Do you have a stock exhaust on your bike right now? I know for most bikes if the exhaust is changed, the motor will have to be tuned accordingly.

Did that exact thing to my 550 honda. It has a nice throaty tone. Didn't have to screw with the tuning too much and it allows me to blast by the local PD without any trouble for being too loud.

I posted a link. Its all in pieces which is the way I got it. I plan on putting it together but I would like it be powder coated first

Here it is the day I went to pick it up in Austria

I cant believe I stuffed the whole thing in my Nissan!

And a few pics once I got it home...

I would really like to see how far I could get this to look like a bobber but a side car really negates the whole concept.

oh well Ill just keep dreaming of that cherry bomb

Oh shit! I remember that bike... and that sidecar. Kick ass bike!

Mitch Bergeron (sp?), that dude that builds custom bikes, has his shop setup a couple doors down from my work. I took a stroll there on my cigarette break to see what new bikes he's got sitting out front. Turns out he built a chopper with a sidecar/seat (yes, a chopper!). Redman76, the whole bobber theme with a side car would be a fresh (and freakin' sweet) sight to my eyes. I say do it since I have never seen one done like that.

One of these days I'll snap a couple pics of Mitch's bikes.
