In an attempt to reflect another dimension of why Volksrods is great, I want to point out the high level of creativity of the members I see here. And the individuality of their projects. It's not a monkey see, monkey do group. The recent Crazy Bastard of the Month Archive sticky pretty much sums it up. None of them could be mistaken for another, and the vast majority of them are like no other car I have ever seen.

Don't look at me... I don't have anything to do with the Moderator titles whatsoever...

Those are all "self inflicted".

If you want to read an absolutely brilliant book about human behavior: http://www.amazon.com/Sneetches-Othe...2829691&sr=1-1

The story applies to most message boards, magazines, clubs, etc.

The entire reason I started this thread was basically to vent about mods getting a power trip. One thread on another board was shut down because it was going to turn into a flame fest, but it didn't turn that way yet. On the other hand this thread
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=378360
STARTED that way and now has two pages to it. We are all entitled our opinions, and for the majority of it you can look at something and think "what the fuck were they thinking" and know that most people are going to feel the same way. I just don't understand why its not ok to post a pic of someones stupid idea that they put a lot of time and effort into and made it look decent and then rag on them for something ugly and its perfectly fine to take someones shitty idea that they didn't put any time into and slapped it together and bash it

ok to bash

NOT ok to bash

I'd say about 95% of deleted threads could be avoided by people living by one simple rule...

If you wouldn't say something to someone's face standing in front of you... don't type it while hiding behind your keyboard.

More people should focus on making a positive contribution,
to the boards they post on, and in their everyday lives.

And when I say positive, I don't mean: "Show me pictures of blue cars with green wheels and orange interiors." or "What colors should I paint my dog house ?"

This is why we have the sh*t thread and where alot of sh*t gets moved to it. Have you seen some of the sh*t posted there?

ya know, since being on this board, I say alot more sh*t to people, in person, and online than I ever did before,
ask the hubby and some who have my number , suckers

Still boils down to, their board, their rules, not every board is like VR.

I finally got a response to my "bitching"
"yet this one was started entirely for that purpose. We are all entitled to our opinions, and for the majority of it you can look at something and say "what the **** were they thinking" and know that most people are going to feel the same way. I just don't understand why its NOT ok to post a pic of someones bad idea that they put a lot of time and effort into, made it look decent and then rag on them for something ugly yet its perfectly fine to take someones bad idea that they didn't put any time into, slapped it together and bash it."

I still don't get it and I guess thats just something I will have to deal with - on a different board

Well I'll be damned, seems there's alot of that going around lately~ not just there

Now that you got your answer, I'm closing this one. Not to piss anyone off, but it's time to let it go.
