I washed, scrubbed and then gutted the MG.

He changed the thermostat, the handle bars and reinstalled the tank on the 500.

I pulled up the Pergo floor in the kitchen I've basically hated since I put it down 14 years ago and put down a heavy gauge composite tile floor. We had a drain line crack on my dishwasher about a month ago and the water got under the pergo and warped it all to hell.

Demo took me MAYBE 10 minutes from floor to sweeping up the subfloor, which was about the only redeeming quality of the early Pergo IMHO. The floor took me all friggin day thanks to all the trimming. The new stuff is really heavy 36x12 planks that look like natural slate. My back and hands are killing me. sure, score and snap.. I guess I should have rented that vinyl tile cutter! Floor is all down and looking good. Now I have to do all of the new quarter round. I like it better already!

Takin a leak out back between the garage and the fence is one thing. I'd bury a motherfucker for droppin a deuce in my yard.

Tonight I had some time to do some engine building. After getting inserts in the case I got the bottom end done. started on the top end. I was having a hell of a time getting a piston on. I set the pistons in the jugs and then put them on. I have done this ever since I was doing Vdubs. This one was kicking my ass big time, I couldn't get my fingers under the piston to set the pin into the rod. I must have spent about 30 min cussing and talking to myself. Then I realised I needed to turn the crank and set the rod to top dead center.
I bought the rings from Hal, I think he did something to screw with my head.

Thank god it was almost immediate relief once it was gone. Got home from ther ER about 6am and slept until about 11:30. that shit EVER AGAIN!!!!

Drink a glass of lemonade everyday, you'll never have that problem again!

Been spending too much time on these bikes. The shadow drew blood . Don't know how, but he ran a brand new drill bit thru his finger. It's all swelled up. And won't go to a dr. Why? nothing they could do, except xray it to see if he shattered the bone and maybe slice it open and clean it out and relieve some pressure.
Says it hurts like a mofo but he's right back out there again.

I make no further comments about these,,, bikes.

A while back I finally got a 16x6 Fuch for my spare and mounted a 205/40 on it to match the front tires. I quickly found out that there is no way in hell to get a rim and tire that size into the stock spare tire well. So for some time, I have had it just laying on top of my gas tank. I came up with this idea a couple of months ago, but I finally decided to build it yesterday.

This framework sits up about half an inch above the front edge of the gas tank.

Got the front belt strap on, but didn't have enough belt to do the other two straps. I am using copper rivets on the belts, and they will all come together in the center of the rim with a chrome ring.

I drink about 1 12 oz coke a day and Iced tea, but I'm gonna cut that back. I'll try the lemonade even though it kills my stomach. Hell, I'll try anything to avoid that pain again.

Got the Merc up and runnin good again, she'd been sitting for quite a while (timing... fucking Pertronix piece of shit... and carb problems)... polished her up real nice took her down to fill her up. Made it a whole 5 miles before all the rust and shit I stirred up in the tank with the fill-up and short drive kept clogging up the fuel filter real good.

Picked up a bunch of 5 gallon buckets to drain my newly filled tank into

Tonight... drained the tank and unhooked all the hoses and connections.

Tomorrow night... pulling tank out to get dipped, stripped and sealed, flushing and blowing out lines/filter

Went to town yesterday afternoon.
Confirmed, never leave loose fluffy insulation under a remote fuel pump in an engine bay. Eventually it will come loose.
How's 250*, 0lbs oil, and cruising at 45mph. For a learning lesson.
Expensive lesson if it's toasted.
Now to make sure it's all out.

Spent the day digging a drainage ditch in 118 deg. heat for the cousin, she bought me a new cutoff saw which would've helped in redoing her plumbing if she had an air compressor!!
Sold the rear trailing arms from my 62' chevy truck for 40.00 all I could get with brackets and all what a deal for him! but he wants my bug so told him 4 new tires with front and rear brake pads for the wifes car and it's his with all the trimmings..
so we'll see..

I hit the old ricer wheels with a 3M green pad and some satin black. I got most of the major curb rash (previous owner) put on them, then put a satin finish on the lips. I put on some glazing putty after i smoothed out some spoke damage, (again previous owner) and put on some satin black.

Now maybe the turds will pull in $200 for me

The vw trike was dropped off yesterday, clutch cable malfunction fixed an hour later. and then hubby drove it around the yard. Surprisingly, he don't like it .

He painted the tank for the shadow, black met cherry, with blue mica added (I don't know why) made some side covers since he is missing the left side. And made a seat last night. Tag and ins today and he can drive it .
Well, after he refigures the tail light he keeps breaking off when he tests runs around the yard. I told him, just don't go off roading
