The Rebuilding
I should probably wait until March 15th to start cutting, that would be 10 years since the very 1st time I drove it, I know I put at least 40K miles on it, maybe more
So I finally got it into the garage, I'm gonna cut it apart and make it how I want, I will probably start on it March 1st. I still have to straighten up my tools, then the madness begins
Ron

Re: The Rebuilding
I cut some sheet metal, I just haven't cut on the Volksrod yet, I still need to bend it
Then I got distracted
I was given a bunch of lights and I'm putting them up in my garage, 2ft by 4ft 6 tube florescent lights, I have 11 of them, I hope I never need more
My wife says it's super bright at night, I still have 3 more to hang

Re: The Rebuilding
Well I've had some misfortune, my transplanted kidney stopped working and I spent a week in the hospital, I'll be doing dialysis 3 times a week and hopefully my kidney starts working better, if not I'll be looking at another transplant, either way I knew this day was coming, 20 years 6 months sure was fun, went by much faster than expected
On the bright side I started a tube bender so I can make a new chassis for the Volksrod, and after getting out of the hospital yesterday I'm ready to put the engine in my rail buggy, put the brakes on and hopefully drive it by next weekend IF I can stay healthy

Re: The Rebuilding
Well the car is on hold for now, possibly till after I have a transplant, at the moment I'm building some shelves and trying to organize stuff, I'm also hanging some of the lights I got and rewire them as well as the outlets, I think I've gained at least 100 square feet of floor space since I started with the shelves (all reclaimed lumber)
3 weeks I should know if my son is a match so I may be looking at a transplant sometime in January or February, the sooner the better, if so I should be able to get back to the car by May, or sooner
I'll keep ya's informed, I've been trying to spend more time in the garage than on the computer, been doing a good job of it too
Ron
