Aww dang....was hoping to have it in color before this conversation thread got bumped.

Shooting for the Portland Roadster show this year. The same show I debuted the Bugtruck two years ago.

It's going to get real busy over the next few months. Updates O' Plenty so stay tuned.

SNEAK PEAK ONLY....

Got the car back from the painters late last night!! Feel like such a slacker considering I spent what....5 months on bodywork and he knocks out the paint job in 3 days? Have some dirt in the clear to cut but I'm very pleased.

The Ford GT Midinght Blue Metallic is quite something. It's exactly the color I wanted with just a hint of pearl to give it a slight color shift from blue to plum to black.

Now the fun begins!!

Hey Spencer. For those wondering the paint system, it is the Wanda line from Sikkens.
My painter really liked the coverage of the base. He did mention the quick drying clear really made him work fast in order to keep it wet.

He shot just over a gallon of base and a full gallon of clear. Less material than we both thought. Have about a half quart left for touch up.

By the way, your guys at Fosters we great. Great customer service and they didn't talk down at me. I was close to school-girl giddy when they rang me up. Thought I was stealing something!

Anxious to get it in the sun.

And thanks Spencer for all the advice and recommendations. Mark

Mark I was surprised with the coverage of the base coat the first time I used it, and the clear is a little fast they have a slow hardener that I have to try next time..I'm glad to hear they took care of you, customer service is hard to find these days! I ordered my color yesterday Im pushing hard to get it in painted.

Thanks. Here's a peak at the front headlight assembly installed with the H4 bulb and new clear lens and internal turn signal bulbs. One down, one to go. Still need to pull the front end and detail out the beam, extender, frame head, etc.

The Portland Roadster show is coming up in less than 50 days. My goal this weekend is to get it losely assembled for the necessary photos for the entry form. Roll it back in the garage and take it apart AGAIN and work out all the details. You know, wiring, brake lines, air ride system, that kind of stuff.

Spencer (if you are reading this) I'm hoping you might be able to help me out sourcing the seats I was telling you about?
