I don't know how far down the body you want to go with the paint, but this should give you a rough idea to look at anyway.

I was happy enough with the extended drive today, I finally added a ball on the hitch and some club swag.

In true volksrod style, my front plaque mount is made from an old license plate and the rear is made out of an old aluminum ruler from my teaching days.

Today was the first drive over the big hills since sorting out the condenser. It did great! I'd even suggest the mecanicals are Invasion ready.

I was fighting a bouncing tach and high rpm miss. Everything over 3k rpm was a mess causing the tach to bounce wildly. Below 3k was perect. Today it is fixed! I found, in a box, a NOS black bocsh coil in my stash. Installed it and the miss is gone. The tach is rock steady and I am happy.

Worked today on minimizing dents in the early front bumper. Not perfect, but no longer driving me nuts.

After

I spent many miles driving from job to job in a 71 grey primed square back, as a passenger. That was way back in the early 80ís and before I had a license. My Fatherís employees car. It was basically what got me into VWís.
