nick - where dija find that one? it looks very much like a car that ran around here in the early 80's and then disapeared. paint is different, but the car looks verrrry much the same.

Just did a Samba search for Cutom and was a few pages deep. No info besides "'63 custom"

---------------------------------------------------------------------

I always love these setups, kind of like the LeMans car setup from their 8 cylinder cars (fan showing past the engine lid). And before anyone asks , no kits are available that I've seen. I've only seen 2 setup like this on a VW. This one's a type 4.

jetster....it is A sportster, not THE sportster. there were more than one made. it was the early answer to a dune buggy/kit car. I know the guy selling that one. he is also selling the empi long wheelbase singlecab car hauler that was posted a few weeks ago

it's a pretty clean example and from what i've been able to learn about frids, it seems like a pretty good price too. how cool would this look with 5" taken out of the pillars. B)

Is it just me, or does it look like a 400hp V8 would torque that subframe right off of the car?

Here's a plug for my '68.
I got the weirdest call for it tonight. Apparently this guy imports exotic jewelry and watches from Europe. He asked if I'd be interested in a partial trade of cash and maybe a Rolex or some jewelry. Sounded kinda fishy to me so I said no thank you and he said thanks for your time and hung up. Strange...

OK, so it's not from the samba. It's from Fisher Buggies website.
Fisher Buggies pictures
I like the inner fender shape and the top looks good. Front beam needs to pushed out. I would think the scoop is just for looks since it still has the stock front beam.
