Re: Motorcycle Thread
One of my buddy's has a Norton and it runs a 19" rear wheel from the factory, but I think the tire's wider than a 100-90. With skinny tires your bike should handle pretty well. The look is up to you. Still a good looking rig, with maybe a little look of a board tracker thrown in. The nice thing about bikes and having the ability to work on `em, is that you can change it around as it suits your fancy.

Re: Motorcycle Thread
Damn, I keep looking at your rear brake disc and it looks just like the same ones I'm running on my Sportster (Kawi front end from triple clamps down to 18" wheel).

Re: Motorcycle Thread
The Ferrari bike begs the question, "When you hit a bump, where does the front tire go? I'd guess there is only a couple of inches before those little recessed lamps come popping out the top of the fender.
Sadly, on the roads in my area, including our so-called freeway, you need all the suspension travel you can get. Great looking engine.

Re: Motorcycle Thread
Check the head light ground. You may be on the turn ground.

2nd vote for the grounding issue. Had the same problem with my car's wiring.
I guess you can run a separate, dedicated ground wire for your blinkers and you should be good to go.

Any clue on what the cost is to buy a vintage motor like that? Not to forget the massive cost for maintenance.
For me, I love the sound of vintage aircraft engines above ANY other sounding engines, fo sho.

Re: Motorcycle Thread
I've got my motorcycle driving test scheduled today at 10:30 in Palm Springs.
I need to pass this the first time around since I had to book this with the DMV over a month in advance...

Re: Motorcycle Thread
You can buy brand new radial airplane motors from Austrailia.
Price isn't as bad as I expected, but any new plane parts are expensive.

Here is the website of the company that built that bike.
http://www.jrlcycles.com/page/page/4187437.htm
If I remember right they used an engine from Rotec.
