Re: Motorcycle Thread
After more more than a year of putting off painting my tank, I finally "finished" it today... late this week I'll be taking it over to have a red pinstripe put between the two colors but the spraying/sanding/buffing is finally done.
Then I couldn't help but slip it onto the frame and roll an engine over in front of it. Of course the engine on the cart is a 350, and the engine that goes in this bike is a 160... but hey, this site's all about hot rodding stuff, right?!

There's a VW connection with Zundapp. Ferdinand Porsche designed a car with them. Porsche wanted the flat four design but Zundapp used a 5 cyl. Water Cooled Radial engine instead, which if I remember right, suffered from overheating and was shitcanned after only a few models being built. All the prototypes were destroyed but somehow one still exists, maybe it's a really good replica. Kinda looks like a rear engined Citroen.

Very cool, I didn't know about that one. The Janus is an interesting beast though!

I didn't know he was a member here. I found him over on the HAMB, after seeing his Safari at a show or two a few years ago.
I'm bummed though. I totally forgot I have a vintage style helmet that's black and silver to go with this. I should have had it striped too! I might have to head down there again sometime.
Hmm... I'd like to have him do something a little more artistic, give him some leeway. maybe the helmet? I'll have to give it some thought, I'm liking this idea...

I have so many suggestions to fix this~ but I'll let someone else do that.
But it would be nice if the overloaded sh*t were in the sh*t thread It sucks to open a bike pic only to close it quick so my kid can't get an eyeful. And he thinks bikes are cool!
Rant over
wanna see more cafes, bobbers, choppers, abominations, less ass cheek fenders

Based on a bicycle... one chain for motor, one chain for pedals!
