Unhappy Walt

It's a thread I don't like to post. Had hoped someone who knew him better than I would tell you all. But, Walt passed away earlier this week.
He was a great man, a legend, will be greatly missed. Thoughts, prayers, all the VR mojo in the world to his family~
RIP Pops,

So sorry to hear this. Condolences to his family. His work was an inspiration to many of those who were willing to step out of the confines of daily driven boxes.

OH... Man... RIP Walt. What in inspiration to many. On of a kind guy. Sad to lose a VR Mentor and Community pillar. Definitely one of the Most influential people to get me involved in Volksrods.

I felt the same way Purple, I wanted to see him memorialized here, but didn't feel like I knew him well enough to do it myself.

He is a legend. Never a better man and an incredibly talented individual. The world is a little dimmer without him here, that's for sure.

Sorry to hear that. Walt was a very skilled craftsman, an art that is disappearing in today's digital age.

Damn! what a huge loss for the world. Great man and a inspiration to me when I found the website so many years ago.

He was one of the main attractions for me coming here! I never got to meet him, but I enjoyed his builds, comments, insights and humor immensely!!

Wow Carlene, my heart just sank out of my chest. Walt was one hell of a man. I loved the time I was able to share with him at Steve's. He will forever be in my memories. I was just thinking of him the other day, I was at an auction and they had some machinists tools and box there. He used to collect that kind of stuff and I was always on the lookout for it for him.

GODSPEED to you POPS! May your family be comforted by the peace of God and their memories of you last their lifetime.
