Imagine making an aircooled V8, using 2 sets of type 4 heads.

WAIT ITS A TWO STROKE! CONVERT THAT BITCH TO STEAM! Then it'd really be a 100% steampunk bike.. and be even faster! Steam powered engines produce more power in a smaller size a four cyl steam engine can produce the same amount of power as a v8 I would love to get my hands on a saab 3 cyl 2 stroke motor and make a steam powered steampunk volksrod Thats my goal is to make a steam powered car one of these day... or motorcycle Depends on which ever comes up first. Would prefer a volksrod though

Getting ready for a fundraiser ride next weekend. Approx 250 scooters.
250km on mainly 50cc scooters.. That's from one side of the country to the other. Just coming into winter, and mountain passes to cross!

Here's some of the bikes: https://www.facebook.com/QuakeCityRumblers

And here's more info: https://www.facebook.com/scootersafari

.
And here's a pic for the thread

I seen the 2 cylinder engine somewhere before

Anyone see the VW engine/compressor conversion? It was in a VW magazine back in the mid 90's, looked like a nice compressor, 2 cylinders ran the engine & the other 2 pumped air, I have often thought about building one, but just like everything, someday

I'm purty handy when it comes to scrounging parts, & I'm sure I could make a camshaft, just a matter of making a few fixtures & some tooling, helps being a machinist

There is a welded sheet metal between the tanks and lots of body filler.
Or did you mean the leather cover?

Depending on the mass tucked in behind the headlight and tank. Hell, she looks to be doing about fifty just sitting there.

Went to work in something awesome today. Terraplane side car suckers so low to the ground and comfy. Also the shape of it feels like something youd see blowing up space ships in 1980's sci fi film. I'm still on the high from that ride. Ill post a picture of it later.

What an adrenaline rush

That would be so much fun watching while sitting/standing in front of one a them curved screens, they had hand rails to hold onto because it felt like you were gonna flip over or fall down when going thru some of the turns, I remember the video had several different things which made you feel like you were actually riding along, like a formula one race car, a motorcycle, a roller coaster, a helicopter, an airplane that did a few loops as well as what I'd call a barrel roll (don't know the actual name) ya know when a plane drops to one side & does a few flips, as well as several other high speed hair raising rides, the last few seconds it was as if you were riding in a car thru a city street at what seemed like 100 MPH, then stopped just inches away from the car in front of you, I remember it felt like you were gonna hit the car
