Re: Motorcycle Thread
Got an appointment for tuesday to argue with someone at DMV again over the registration on my bike..
Found a Vehicle Code that state that if it is reasonable that the new owner was unaware of previous fines or fees on a title, they can be waived. Going to try and get them to agree to let me pay for only everything which has accrued since I got the bike in October 2011..
Working on my VR right now, but once it's up and running, I my take another stab at the bike, otherwise I'm selling the headache.

Re: Motorcycle Thread
Sellin your bike?...Hmmm, then obviously you'll want something unusual and exotic to replace it. A Wankel Suzuki perhaps?

Re: Motorcycle Thread
I've been searching for a source of wider 14" Aluminum rims, for 32 spokes.
1.6" is pretty common, but not really suitable
for tires around 120mm or larger.
We have found a couple tires suited to our
type of racing. But I think they would work better on a much wider rim. I know 14" is not real popular, but switching to 12" isn't an option.
Some guys in the Philippines are running wide rims by TGO, SPD, DBS, and KENDA.
3.0", and 3.5" IIRC.
But I can't find an online source, and don't speak their language.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks very much.
Ian

Turns out those rims are 36 spokes, not 32.
KTM uses 32 spokes.

Re: Motorcycle Thread
Just bought four 1.60x14 32 spoke rims.
Will cut and weld to make them wider.

You should show that to Mike Wolfe (American Pickers) he's a huge bike guy. Can you show me more detail on the side lever mechanism?
