Back in 'The day' we'd change the ring gear to the opposite side. Don't know if that works with later transaxles.

Finally, some progress that feels real. it idles! Now, I can finally time it and start working on main jets. I talked to a gent that has done several e85 set ups and he told me not to worry about the idle air/fuel ratio and just worry about afr on the main circuit. e85 doesn't mind being fat.
The idle jets went from 55f9 to 90f9! Air correctors are going from 155 to 192. Mains will be big too... just don't now how big yet.

It is really odd to watch that intake manifold between the carb and turbo completely ice up in about 2 minutes!

Some manifolds can be plumbed for a oil line to heat the intake.

gonna be WOT or idle for 97% of it's run cycles. So, after some more adjustments, I thikn I will be able to combat it.

Catastrophic failure today. Blew the engine. I guess 19 years was a good life for the 2332cc... I will see what it did i the next few days. Too deflated to go clean up the mess and dig tonight.

Dammit man!! What did ya have to go and do that for? Hopefully it won't be a total loss and you won't have to start from scratch.

That does take some of the shine off the sun. But at least now you have the chance to build an even bigger and badder engine !

I have been inspired to try something totally different... even for a mid-engine notchback owner.

I have hardware coming to adapt a VR6 to my car. Going to go turbo, mild boost and hopefully have a track friendly ride that will also be street useable for weekend cruises.

I have the turbo exhaust manifold, alum adapter for the engine to trans, flywheel and am currently working on a short runner intake manifold.

This will either work or fail spectacularly!

Going to measure vs the current hole to see what mods are needed. Flywheel for the swap is installed.
