It's the oil tank yah, but it's by no means chrome. It's actually a old co2 tank from a bar wand, that's been modded up to work for oil. It's really killer, custom made by a friend of mine. Got a little window in there to peek in at your oil levels too.
And thanks.

Re: Motorcycle Thread
At least now both sides of the fairing match.
About half a mile from my house at pretty much walking speed, the car in front of hit the brakes and for some reason I grabbed a handful of front brake and locked it up. The bike pitched left and tossed me off the side. Gloves did their job and the helmet chin bar took a light tap but no damage to me other than some bruised pride. The shift lever bent over on itself and when I tried to bend it out it snapped off so I had to ride home in first gear. As I was picking the bike up the driver of the car got out and before even looking at me ran around and checked the back of his car. Already being pissed at myself for making such a rookie mistake I yelled at him "I didn't fucking hit you and I'm fine thanks for asking!" He gave me a dirty look and got back in his car. Douche.
Copious amounts of beer have been self-prescribed.

Not really my make of bike but that Guzzi is TRICK!
Where'd you find the alloy tank?
I'm planning on making my own alloy tank for my Royal Enfield cafe project.
This is on my wishlist:
Norton cafe

i found the tank as some nice sheets of aluminium :) i made it myself from scratch. will never do that again though. it is far from perfect. made wooden form of the tank and beat the alu sheet around it. i want to make a scotsh brite panel to cover the top, cause the reflection realy sucks.

Nice! What thickness was the aluminum you used for the tank?

The tank may be "far from perfect," but she's a beautiful bike!
