Default speedo cable question

I know I haven't been around in quite a while, but I figure people here might have had to deal with a too-short speedometer cable on a build. Standard VW speed-o and through the spindle hook-up. Is one of them longer than the others? If I didn't hate photobucket so much, I'd show a picture.

Truly, I think most abandon the Cable and just download a GPS speedo on their phones... If not, then it's a very simple way to get a very accurate speed reading in major cities and mostly accurate elsewhere. there will be spots that calculations are made without the satellites and cellular aren't both communicating, but they're pretty good most of the time.

I'm certain there are still cable makers available as well, especially online, (I used to make them at one job I had 25 years ago, so I know how rare the machinery actually is nowadays in the digital age). I know you can still buy Chevy Speedo cables for the old trucks too, so someone's doing it with cable somewhere.

Bus cable is longer than the stock Bug cable.

Bus is longer, yes. And so is the bug one I got on my bug from Napa. What longer than my stock one. I donít have an extended beam. Just an extra coil of cable under my hood driving me nuts.

I'm only looking for a couple of inches (that didn't sound right). Right now steering wants to pull the cable out of the grease cap. I will check out the bus cables. Thanks. Oh, and the GPS idea would require me to ditch my 12 year old TRAK phone!!!!!!!

A Super Beetle cable will work, I'm pretty sure it is 1390 mm long, a little over 54 inches.
