thanks! it was my 1st commisioned work. i do them as commission rarely because most folks think $200 is too steep a price. it is a challenge that i enjoy enough that i am not swayed.

flatblackandflamed - nice work.

I always hate the typical trophies at car shows. They look like they could be for anything. I really like trophies that are custom made for a car show, and actually have something to do with cars!

One of the coolest trophies, or actually a plaque (sp?) were some custom made euro license plates that had "1st PLC, 2nd PLC, etc" printed on them. Much better than something that looks like it could be from a 4th grade soccer tournament...

Here is one that I did a while ago. It is scratch art which was really fun to do.

Well let's see if the real bugnut can add his two cents. Here is a going home trophy I made for the commander of the outfit I just retired from. It is made from red oak and the instruments are from the F4 Phantom 2. This is the last F4 outfit in the US.

How about a Saturday contribution to the Friday Art Show that's not really art?

This is the chair I use at my sewing machine. Figured I needed a small project to get used to my new machine so I did up the cushion the way I plan on doing Herr Pie's seats. Black vinyl with red velour 1" tuck'n'roll. Sorry about the crappy photo...

Also stitched up some carpet this week.

The carpet is an obsolete color that was originally made for '56 Chevs. So now not only am I pissing off the VW purists, I am also pissing off the bowtie guys by using up some of their rare/hard to find Chev carpet And they'd be really pissed if they knew how cheap I got it! :P

Thanks, Notched! I didn't sew the actual carpet but I did pattern and cut it and sewed all the binding on.

that's funny, i got flak about doing a thread like this. but now i see the one that gave me shit has posted on this one, pretty funny.
oh well, i'm glad to see it. it's nice to give artists and creators a place to show off their work that might not ever bee seen.

I wasn't giving you flak before. Was just stating then that this thread has been for a few months before your thread, and that there's not enough people on this forum as compared to HAMB to have a weekly friday art post to have much action. That's the reason why I started this thread in the first place, to have all art stuff in one page instead of having dozens of friday art threads to browse around for...

bumping it back to the top in hopes that some "newer" members will post some of their creations. I would post some of my "work" but I don't want to make anyone vomit!

Here is some art work a customer of mine does. They are stainless steel
spoons, cut by hand, tig welded and formed into beetles. This one he uses
as a hood ornament for his Ghia. He will make custom ones on request.

did this on a sweet little lady last thursday (my wife actually) since she had been begging for months now. the picture doesnt do the color justice at all. it is a rich marigold yellow and almost ruby in the middle flower.
