I'm not looking for more speakers just a headphone jack that this computer just does not have. I have a sweet set of speakers made by harman kadron from my now dead hand me down dell computer that I had gotten from my older brother. I'm bummed that I can't get back to my old job as a telephone tech support person that I had before my accident. I'm hoping that my car insurance sends me to get my MCSE certification because I'm pretty sure that there's not much available for someone with an MCP certification and a bad speaking voice like me

If you have no jacks on that computer then you might consider getting a sound card off of newegg.com, since its a laptop you may need to look at the external usb options.

I got a Creative Sound Blaster card that goes in the expansion port in my laptop. It outputs in Optical Digital that I feed into my reciever.

Now I have a question. A crossover patch ethernet cable is what color wires to what color wires??

You get the source for the ad itself, which, can be trickey. A specific one you want? What exactly did you want from the ad? The image and link?

Oh. I looked in the last few pages of the samba thread and didn't see any posts that looked exacly like a Samba ad.

If you meant getting the pics, that's easy. In a Samba ad, right click the pic and look at it's location. You copy the location to here, using the "insert image" button. The link to the ad itself should be up in your address bar. Copy and paste.

If you want to copy a whole page,I think you need
to do a "screen capture".

Update the definitions on Spybot and Ad-Aware,
then restart your machine in Safe Mode.

Now run them both, and delete everything they find.

Safe Mode is the key.

The reason that works is:Windows won't let you delete anything that is running. So the Spam Artists make their Spam install it's self in the Start Up rountine on your computer.Every time you start your computer, there it is.Suprise.

Safe Mode bypasses the start up routine,so nothing is running. Now you can delete the serious Spam.

i'm having an new issue with an old router..
This router is on 24/7 as my parents internet connection, and before, it's always worked just fine and they aren't making any complaints, but they also shut off their computer when they aren't using it..
I, on the other hand, leave both a desktop that is Cat-5 connected to the router as well as a laptop that is wirelessly connected to it, running all the time. It seems about every 12 hours both machines forget the router exists and to fix it i have to powercycle the router (unplug it and plug it back in..)
anyone ever encountered a similiar problem? it's never done this before.

Hopefully someone with more experience
here will have some suggestions.

99% of the time I've had problems,Spybot and Ad-Aware
in Safe mode took care of it.

The other 1% was handled by Norton,or AVG,in regular mode.

How much stuff did Spybot and Ad-Aware find in Safe Mode ?

Did you delete all of it ?
