Holy Chit, Jeffry! That's super cool... You can never have too much overkill! Awesome Carrier for sure. Mia may now get to see Yellowstone after all, huh?

Ooo nice. I'm glad to see you have her comfort in mind without spoiling her too much.

She's slightly spoiled.
There are several reasons we bought the REV;
1. We want to travel! (Jon, we're coming your way to see Jace!)(Kim, we'll come see you to beat you with a pool noodle!)
2. We have separation issues with Mia. She had such a hard life, we don't want her to think we are abandoning her. We Went over Wednesday to buy it and when we came home, I picked Mia up and she was purring so hard and drooling all over my arm! She missed us! So we just spent a few shiny pennies on a 4 ton, 24' kitty carrier!
3. We do have several mods we need to make to the REV. The front seats are first on the list. They are industrial crap. We went and looked at some seats the other day but the lady said they don't do them anymore as they are "too hard" to do with all the electronics, built-in seat belts and such...psh, the seats are held in with 2 big bolts and 2 electronic connectors (seat belt alarm and air bags). Dammit I'm a volksrodder, I can build a seat base with my eyes closed!I'm looking at getting some 2011 Ford Explorer seats as my wife found them acceptable in comfort. In driving it home yesterday, it took 3 hours to get from Goshen, IN to Mokena, IL and my back was achy. Why do car makers think you need lumbar enough to dislocate your kidneys and a base so hard your butt is numb after 20 minutes? I've sat on park benches that were softer!
We have a few more things to update and a few parts to get repaired, but we should be on the road in about a month or so.
Jeff
P.S. Okay, I won't bring the pool noodle...

Moab, Arches, Bryce, Yellowstone, Redwoods, Saguaro West and East, Organpipe,...yeah, we'll hit the Nat parks hard! So want to go back to all of them. Olympic Nat. Forest in Washington is a top on our list too! Want to hit Vermont, Maine, definitely Traverse City in Michigan, South Carolina, Maybe even try Florida and Louisiana. Gotta do Texas again. They are so damn friendly down there! We're in our 40's are we're not getting any younger. Might as well have fun! The REV has a 2,000 lb towing capacity so who knows what I'll drag home.

It was probably just midget porn anyway. Ask Kim for his links, they're probably the same ones.

Speaking of Monster R/C trucks. How fast do they go and what kind of range, as in distance from the controller and running time?

Jeff will likely be asking how many pool noodles they can carry.

We introduced Mia to the RV today. Only for 30 minutes. We had her litter, food, blankets and toys out there so she knew stuff. She was a little nervous but settled down. We're going to keep taking her out there to get her used to it slowly. She's a little trooper!

New electronics allow them to go farther than you can see them. Speed? How fast can you afford to go? Yes, that's vague. And that's the truth. Brushless motors and Lipo batteries are insane. Crazy speed and crazy run time. As for monster trucks, definitions vary. There are many "monster trucks" on the market. I've read about trucks like mine with more race prepared setups going upwards of 60mph

So on the way to work yesterday, the handyman stopped me to hand me a flyer they were putting on everyone's door.

"Effective immediately, cars that are unregistered, have expired registration, or junk cars will be towed."

And my car has no tag. Hell, I'd not yet transferred the title after a year and a half. So I called the park when I got to work and asked the property manager to please not tow my car. She said as long as I got a tag on it tomorrow (today), and it's not on blocks, I'm ok.

So... 2.5 hours at the DMV and I've got my antique tag. Yay!

'Gotcher' tag now, sweet! Nothing like a swift kick in the pants to move you along.

I just got this from Ron a couple hours ago. I figured that as late as it is now, this will qualify as technically 'yesterday,' and thought that I'd pass it on.

Hey Kim, just wanted to let someone know I'm still alive and doing fine. I'm having trouble signing onto Volksrods forum, I was given a laptop computer, when I tried to sign on I couldn't remember my password because I had it saved on my phone, I just pushed the button and I was instantly signed on. After I couldn't sign on on the laptop I tried the "forgot password" thing, clicked it, added my email address, then I answered the question, I still haven't gotten an email, checked my spam folder too. I have no idea what's going on, hopefully by Monday I can get on again.

Oh yeah the question I had to answer was what material are tires made of, I answered rubber, I keep thinking it was a trick question.
I hop all is good with everyone.

OK, if you are picky, "yesterday" is not a few weeks ago, but I have been busy. Anyway, I picked up a project from a friend who was doing a father/daughter project that stalled a few years ago when he got sick. She called me recently to tell me he had passed away and as we had talked back when he first got sick about my buying them out she wanted to know if I was still interested. Of course I was, and now have a huge pile of parts added to my project list, but it is all the right stuff. Four wheel disk brakes, built engine, lots of new pieces and parts including patch panels for the body and pan. All I need now is time and money to work on it.

Thanks Kim. Run out of room to put stuff, so building stuff like this will be put on hold for a bit.

Well yesterday I finished assembling the transmission, I installed the SVDA distributor, set the timing and adjusted the valves, now I just need to find the strength to pull the engine and swap the transmissions, then put the engine back in and hook everything back up and sync the carbs again

I hope I have enough in me to finish it by Monday

Ron
