just make your own, its alot easier and the rod should not cost more than $5.oo. I added 15 inches to mine and still have more rod to make another.

you CAN NOT just swop early and late shift rods over. theyre a different length. they changed at the end of '67, the same time as the slot in the cup dissapeared, cos vw went from the tapering swan-neck shifter to the straight constant diameter one.

Yank your shift rods out and put a notch in it. Its easy, so easy there is really no excuse for trying to find a dozen ways around it. Just Grind the damn notch lube it up well and shove that bitch back in there.

i have a hurst bus and i need to get a smaller steering wheel to work it. i cant get reverse with the way it is now
