Ok, I have a 1969 T3 (honestly I've been working on it for 15 years), initially I was going to just restore it and make it a daily driver. My main hangup was the automatic transmission. I bought a used transmission and then while putting the engine in I broke the very small $10 piece that operates the pump. After tearing the transmission apart to install the small piece; which is all of the way in the back of the transmission - so I had tear everything apart. Now I'm in the process of putting a manual transmission in.

Recently, I had the whole car sandblasted and have been on other forums where it was suggested I chop and lower the T3; the picture of one was awesome. So I'm planning on chopping my T3 and lowering it. I know I'll need a donor roof and doors; I have a lead on these. So I'm a little apprehensive about starting to cut. I guess I need a little more direction and some moral support.
