Nice looking trailer!!

I called my brother Monday to tell him to tell the guy I would buy it (my wife told me to since it's a really good deal and I always have to borrow a trailer). Well, the guy had already taken a deposit on it. My brother called me today to tell me that the buyer had backed out and that my brother had bought it for me. I have to pay him for it but he went ahead and got it so it didn't get sold.

Here's an old pic from when I borrowed it before. I've hauled probably ten VWs on this thing before.

I should have it here in a couple days.

Got a call from the wife that the wheel fell off her car. I said "The Wheel?" Sure enough the lower ball joint broke on her car. Fortunately she was only two house down from ours when it broke. So I took a day of vacation to go fix the car in the street. Just once I would like to spend my time and money working on one of my projects instead of this crap!

I got lucky. One, no body got hurt. Two, other than the lower ball joint and the anti-lock sensor wire there was no major damage. A little spot on the fender that I cleaned up and had to fix the fender trim but it's a car that has 170,000 miles. We'll just put another 170,000 and keep going! This weekend I get to replace the left side ball joint. It appears that Lexus has a small problem with these going bad with no warning. I got the car a year ago from my rich sister who gave me a deal to good to pass up so I won't complain.

That really sucks. Sorry to hear about that.

I attended last year's Hootenanny with Social D headlining on the main stage but unfortunately, I was not driving, and my ride had apparently seen Social D "too many times" and made us all leave after the second song...

Had this song lyric fragment (spelled phonetically below) runnin' through my head, but couldn't for the life of me connect it with a tune or performer or title:
Quote:
wichi tie taw
wimmeraw
oh raw neeko oh raw neeko
hay nay
hay nay
no wah
Thirty minutes of google later, it turns out it was by Jim Pepper - it's here if you'd like to hear it.

Now, how can I save the audio track of that video as a MP3?

Thanks... Yeah, see that approximately 1' gap between the bar and the wall.... yeah, that's it! The guy that originally built it must have been skinny. I guess that is why there is light beer in the fridge, so you don't get stuck!

As long as someone can get back there and sling the beer, it's all good . Nice job on the tile.

yeah, the weight is lower to the ground so it should perform well. Im eventually putting wider arms and front beam on it. So it should wide.

I've decided I'm going to start posting in this thread. I'm on volksrods every bloody day, so I may as well post, right? Yesterday my girlfriend's father and I welded in my floorpans (well, he did the and I alternated between and ), and started stripping the engine. You can see in the first photo the hole the PO cut in the centre tunnel that we now have to fix as well. Dodgy bastard.

I tore into Beau-Hunkus!

Pulled both front fenders, Repaired one Rust Hole, Tore down the engine (will be taking the heads for a valve job and getting the pistons and juggs looked at to see if I need new ones - How about 1776?), and did sone general TINKERING!

I took out someones trash can yesterday!!

On my way to work (4:30am) I saw a trash can in the road. It was one of those nice big green plastic ones with the large black plastic wheels. ...Yes, there was a car in the drive way.

Well, at 5:15pm it was a little further into the road and the car was on the other side of the driveway. So I decided to use my truck to kind of push it back towards the curb and out of the way.

At 40mph and a little bit too much to the right I now know what a trash can feels like as it passes under my tires.

There was a 'thump' then another 'thump' and then the sound of large plastic wheels bouncing down the street.

So a word to the wise....If your trash can is in the street, remove it when you leave for work. If you don't, then at least remove it when you return from work. If you don't, you better hope I'm not around.

Measured the steering reducer and got it in the computer. I need to get a 3/5 wood dowell to use for mockups. I hope it warms up soon!!!!!!!!!
