Behind 1977 beetle dash
What is behind the black pad on the 77 bug?

Re: Behind 1977 beetle dash
Lots of holes for mounting studs and vents. It looks just like a ‘67 and older underneath, just with holes.

Re: Behind 1977 beetle dash
is this a super? or a standard Beetle? If it's a Super, there's a little bit more different than that... The teller is if it has the rounded windshield... if it's just a standard beetle the first answer is completely correct. I haven't seen many 77 standard beetles in my days... Unless they were mexican built.
SUPER BEETLE

Super or standard, at least the ‘wheel’s on the, uh, right side.🤔🤔

I think you misunderstood... I was asking the OP if His was a Super or Standard... those were pictures of a 77 Super (or other 74-79 super beetle dash...) I've had so many beetles of just about every variety, that I was trying to recollect only "whether or not I've even ever seen a 77 that wasn't a super beetle... After re-reading what I posted I can see how it looks like I was asking whether the pictures were a Super or not... They are indeed Super as stated above the picture... Kinda of a crumby response I posted previously and unclear... sorry for the confusion caused by that...

Re: Behind 1977 beetle dash
Never payed attention to to what a curved windshield super dash looks like under the pad. It would make a weird custom look. Kinda bus like.
