Default Bugout 83

Just checking to see if anybody else is planning on going.

May 26

Weather permitting I am planning on making the trip. If anyone wants to meet up for the drive, I will be coming from Lynchburg-ish area.

That thing looks like a blue clitoris.

Just noticed you are in Glen Burnie now. I used to go up there all the time during the 90's for Toyota school. I guess the CAT headquarters is still up there? I quit working on cars for a living now, so I wouldn't know!

And if it is looking like rain, I am going to abort the show myself. I am afraid my car will dissolve since it is from Arizona.

haha yeah, I'm stationed at Fort Meade for the next two years..

Last fall I had ot ebay and re-install the rain tray in my decklid because the sideways shitshow rain we got soaked into one of my carbs and flooded a cylinder..

Couple weeks away now. I'll be watching the weather as it gets closer. I still have a couple things to do to the bug before then. Found the brake hose has a soft spot on the left front, so replacing both hoses. Gonna replace the rear window seal because it has a small cut that I just noticed. Then give it a major cleaning a couple days before the show. I am waiting for a lower deck lid stand-off I ordered from aircooled.net to come in. I ordered it on April 27 and still nothing. I am hoping to get it before then. I want to have upper and lower stand-off's on it. Just to be different.

Anybody else thinking about making the voyage?

For those of you new here..... enjoy this classic read:

A lot of the pics are gone, but there is a photobucket link on one of my posts on page 4. it has pics of the legendary "push-off" of Ryan's car, and even a couple of the RuntRod!! Ahhh, the good ol' days!

We're actually bringing the food trailer and the bug to a local show on the same date.

I had every intention of getting a hotel room saturday night so I could get to the show bright and early sunday... then my alternator pulley nut decided to strip all it's threads and fall off.. I'm working with Jack at Jaycee to get a replacement (it's the billet aluminum pulley they sell), but I'm not sure if the bug will run or not.. I still wanna go though!
