Re: SEMA
Cool I will look for you. I will be arriving on Monday and be leaving Thursday morning. I will be wearing either a Polo style shirt with the Stevenson Motorsports logo. Or tee shirt with Stevenson Motorsports logo and race car on the back.

I live in Vegas, but can only go for one day. I will be there on Thursday, and wearing the Volksrods shirt.

Re: SEMA
I wish I could stay till Thrusday, but someone else is footing the bill, so i am not arguing. I will be wearing a White Polo style shirt with the Stevenson Motorsports logo on the front. Not my choice either. I don't like polo shirts.

Re: SEMA
invitation only and you must own a business to be invited or go...also you have to be connected to the business. I.E,employed or representing.
I had worked a collision shop for years before I went...then the wife and I started mine and we went last year and again this year.

Re: SEMA
Tim, can you fit me in a Carry-on?
I'm not sure if i'd fit in one of those over-head compartments though...
Or you could say I work for you & call me the "Shop Bitch" if that would get me a Ticket!
BTW, It was Great meeting you in person finally! You've done some really nice work down there! I hope to come down, have a few drinks & hang with you & Fester again some time.

I seem to remember seeing a Bay Area Volksrods Garage business card, how hard would it be to make it an actual business out there? A buddy of mine owns and runs Rob's Restorations in Keller, TX a listed business but he generally only works on his own cars.

Re: SEMA
Probably not that hard to get in , based on the number of people going.
Should be an application or something on their site.
http://www.semashow.com/main/main.as...OWcom/HomePage
The SEMA Show and AAPEX are trade-only events and only qualified members of the automotive aftermarket are permitted to attend. The following categories do not qualify to attend: - Accounting Firms
- Consumers
- Freight Providers
- Graphics companies non-automotive
- Exhibit Installation/Dismantle Companies
- Insurance
- Law Firms
- Modeling agent/agencies
- Packaging
- Printers
- Software companies non-automotive specific
- Travel Agencies
- Any non-automotive company

Re: SEMA
I'd be worried that if I had a business license and didn't do much business some day the IRS may come sniffing around and tax you for the last 5 years based on the revenue they assumed you made......
Besides being a related business, you also have to be a SEMA member to go to the show......... I don't remember how much SEMA membership costs..... it's been a few years

Re: SEMA
I was able to attend last year's SEMA, which was a first time for me. Quite an interesting experience being in Vegas during Halloween...
The SEMA show blew my mind. IIRC, 1 million square feet of nothing but car stuff. I didn't really care for the AAPEX set up. Other than seeing some new tool companies, it was a waste of time.

Re: SEMA
I got back in late Thursday night. It was a blast. Saw and talked to a Few great designers. So much car stuff there it was mind blowing. But after a while it all started to bend together. I did see a lot of other company's using each others products to promote their own stuff. In other words started seeing a lot of the same things.
I did manage to spend a nice bit of my boss's money. Bought some new equipment of a couple of our shops, you know, show "show Specials".
Now I can't wait till PRI, I will be there the 11th though the 14th. Wish I could get there earlier but I have to work sometime.

Re: SEMA
Anyone see that little mini peterbuilt looking rat? all aluminum.. very nice!! This year Ididn't take a camera, instead I wwalked in front of others trying to take pics in an already too crowded area, lol. I decided, unless its a unique part or feature of the car I needed a pic of, I could find alot better photographs online.. haha

Re: SEMA
Yes that car was NICE!!
Did anyone see the new Camaro. I know they are not Rats, but I liked them. The Blue and Yellow Camaro (Koni test car). It was pretty much a clone of our new race car. The had to call and ask to use our number on it. #6, lol. Our car should be here March.......number 0001....
It will be a Rolex Grand Am Koni car.
