Unfortunately, the owner was a complete DOUCHE BAG, asshole, AND a samba purist, ugh. Also he likes to rev the shite out of his motor... directly after start-up when it's still cold! Jeeze, I hate to see him fuck up a bad ass looking ride.
Somebody tell him the ace of spades isn't red.Guess he's not a card purist.

This weekend we saw a movie that had two Citroen's in it. One was a panel van. The other was a Convertible.

Not that it matters too much, but the movie was Inkheart.

I'd give my pinkie toes for either.

They looked like this:

It's still a sweet DC. I wish you guys could have been there to meet the owner in person. He introduced himself as Jimmy Neutron, the FAMOUS VW restorer. Anyone ever heard of him? Yeah, me neither.

Got it?
This is how threads get screwed up,
there is the SLUG BUG thread, cars in movies and tv.
There is the NEW SH*t thread, for stuff you find elsewhere other than here.

Went to an autocross event in Indio today. Sponsored by the local Corvette club, but most of the 'Vettes got their ass kicked by some pretty built imports.

EDIT
Reorganized the pictures in my Photobucket. If you still want to look at them, Click Here for the new link

That Celica can't be newer than a '73 based on the bumpers....
most likely a 71 or 72......... I always wanted one from those years

It's a '76 with early euro spec bumpers and parts, including the fender-mount mirrors. He has a bunch of speed parts (new intake, exhaust, dual webber conversion) but is unable do to smog regulations. Apparently the owner has a 72 or 73 but doesn't have the cash to build it up.

Looks like another decent turn out for the spring "Chicken Shit" swap meet this year. I was thinking about going down this weekend to look for an all steal T. Thanks for the pics. Now I know there are some in attendance.

These pics are from the car show held in La Quinta this past Sunday. Nice day for a show, but too god damned hot.

I'd give my left nut for this Ford

I'd give my right nut for this Ford

Gave away both nuts for the pair of Fords, but I'd still have a dick to give this piece of ass...

A local Rockabilly band, The Deadbeat Daddies, put on a good show for the crowd. Definitely worth seeing.

Here's the link to the rest of the pics in my Photobucket.

My Neighbor's Grandkid came by for Easter with his 57 Lowered Bug. He & His Father Built it. I've seen it a bunch before, but this was my First chance to get a picture of our bugs together.
