Yesterday I finally got time to weld the bumper. Also filled the gap just to make the bumper look more "fat". Unfortunately I was out of grinding flapdiscs so I had to leave the welds ungrinded for now...

The "fat look" rocks! The bumpers actually add to the look of the car.

Here's how it ended up like after grinding the welds.

Like this...

Also started making the fiberglass sheet patches for the front inner wheelwells... Now mounted with screws to the steel panels. Just need some resin and fiberglassing to close them to the body....

Long time without any progress... Got some fiberglass work done the past week though. Started molding the panels to the body. Had to make a lowtech jig just to make sure the righthandside gets the same curve as the lefthandside. Seems like the body have sagged some at the A-pillar during all the years in storage before me. Now it is fixed though. :D

Two month without much anything done...

Well, last week I got the front wheelwells done anyways...

Also tested with new wheels...

And been working with parts for new front struts as the ones on it are too low. Yes, too low...

Not much... Got the new struts finished the past week... Now 6cm taller and softer so the actually work.. The shorter that was in the car was so stiff they did not spring down at all even heavily loaded....

Also a while back I had a test for the final colour. Unfortunately the cheap spraycan primer did not like the topcoat so it crackeled. Looks kind of cool though....

I like the colour tough!!

At the moment I'm cutting out the remains of the final internal walls in front of the dash so I can make them better and seal the front luggage area from the cabin and wheelwells.

The car is also for sale right now as it sits....

I've got a bad itch from this fiberglass project so I've got to let it go.. Sort of... Just lost interest... Yes, Hebster's got to get finished....

Some minor progress the past months.. Mostly resin and fiberglass work.. Nothing fancy and fun.. Front firewall closed!
I hope the photofucket photos still work...

I also was lucky enough to be able to buy a set of Pre-A 50-52 fronthood trim and Porsche scripts straight from the manufactor for a reasonable price when I bought them as Rawcasts. Just needed some cleaning to become very nice parts!!!

(the third one in the background is a longer 356BT5 script that came with the car...)
