His other purchases at the auction included $250,000 for a 1938 Cadillac Town Car used by Pope Pius XII and $290,000 for a 1941 Packard limousine used by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. He also purchased the "Celebrity Gallardo" at the Kruse International collector car auction. The celebrity-signed 2005 Lamborghini Gallardo for $500,000 also made it to his garage.

You can't spend " multibillions of dollars" in five years. Man it would be a great time trying.

I looked the guy up. He's dead...killed in a car crash in 2009. He made about $20 billion for his clients; he was worth about $1.5 billion. His car collection was worth about $100 million.

Let's see, you can start by getting in line. I'm in space #9,736,428, and there appears to be a large number of folks behind me. It's just so heart warming to see everyone willing to take a 'hit' like this...sniff.

Started work yesterday helping to organize an estate for the family of our late friend and car guy, Ken. Most of the cars have been parked and untouched for 10 or more years. Yesterday Marley and I got the blue Caddy, the yellow Scout, and the green Lincoln all running and driving. We don't yet know how many cars Ken had , as more turn up all the time in different places, but at the moment it looks like between 25 and 30 units that we will be dealing with. Posted a couple of more pics on the what did yo do yesterday thread.

If the family decides to sell them individually, information will be posted here before anyplace else.

Wow! That while Imperial really speaks to me. Sadly what I hear is mostly, "Sherrie will kill you."
